Pretty pathetic only having one person serving customers feels like for ever waiting inline. When I have add to go in there to pay for items that I have gotten off trade me. Would speed things up if there were more staff on the tills

I had two terrible experiences at this branch before I decided to close my account and take my money somewhere else.The first one is absolutely mind-boggling, and I regret not closing my account then. I logged in to my Internet Banking at home for the first time in order to set it up, only to find out that there were transactions made by some random person BEFORE the date that I had actually opened the account. I called Customer Service and was informed that they had somehow mashed two accounts together and that they were going to have it fixed as soon as they could. It turns out that instead of fixing it, they made it worse by sending my actual transactions to the other person's account, which they had to contact me afterwards in order to authorize the return of that person's money because of the second mind-boggling mistake they had done in a row. The accounts got separated eventually.Point being, if you don't like the risk of having your money floating around random accounts, you should probably take your money somewhere else.Now for the second terrible experience. I received a bond check from my previous landlord in the U.S. and tried to deposit it. The Teller said she had to take it to her Manager for approval, because the value was too high (a mere USD 850). The Manager did not approve the deposit. According to the Teller the reason was because my account was too recent and I didn't have enough transactions. I then explained that I had just moved to Dunedin from the U.S. and that there was a possibility of me receiving more checks, and asked if that would be a problem. She then gave me another reason, saying that if they deposited the check and it didn't go through, I wouldn't be able to cover for the damage with the money I had on my account, so they couldn't approve the deposit. She then gave me the option to send the check to a screening, which could take up to 6 weeks, and it would cost me. I said no

It was very busy when i arrived as it was just after lunch but when i did get to the front of the line the staff were very friendly and helpful! Was able to get my problem fixed.

Only 1 person working behind a desk, while two members of staff stand around in the middle of the store doing nothing, twiddling their thumbs. Not sure why they weren’t also placed behind a desk so they could help waiting customers.Not good enough waiting 20 minutes to be served when you are the only other customer in the store, and there are at least 5 members of staff working.

Our mistake we opened a bank account in the busiest bank of the world. Their online service team is nothing but ducks that quack and tell you a reason why something can’t be done. I have been mucked around for 4 weeks now to add a signatory on a business account. This includes several phone calls and visit to the bank itself. Today my call lasted 2 hours 9 minutes and 26 seconds. Still no promises were made other than making promises! BNZ you should be appalled for such a disgusting customer service and blaming all on Covid

Often there is long cues and delays due to only one teller available. This is due to upper management incompetence cutting back staff to increase profits. This has put a stress on staff which are very friendly but obviously get abused by frustrated customers.

Often only 1 staff member on, que to the door. My little sister and I have a joint account for family holidays and we were told we can't withdraw cash from it anymore in branch, we now have to set up business banking and transfer funds to another account and withdraw cash that way... have tried setting it up but we don't have a printer... bnz used to be so innovative, user friendly and welcoming....what happened?

Never have said negative to any places. But I will never visit this place again. Reception Helen has a very bad attitude.. The manager is a rude and impolite lady.. I don't understand why BNZ is looking for such a person to be a manager?Worst service..total useless..

Poor service. The staff I was enquiring to open a joint account doesn't know how to be respectful and handle her customers. I strongly advise for anyone to go to any other branch or bank.
