I had a shocking experience with Dr Vann. It was already determined by the Auckland Hospital that I had a 7cm blood clot in my left leg. I was quite worried, and decided to go privately. I had one pre op appointment with Dr Vann to confirm I needed surgery asap. Dr Holden performed the surgery he was amazing. My follow up appointments with Dr Vann a completely different story.Each appointment was in a different place it appeared that he hired different spaces for the day. Dr Vann and his assistant did everything from mobile phones. Dr Vann couldn't recall who I was, he called me by a different name, put a stethoscope to my leg and said everything was fine. I told him what Dr Holden had said regarding the heavy blood thinning tablets clopidogrel I was required to take for a year. I needed another prescription, he asked me what they were called and how many mg they were, I couldn't remember he wrote the prescription and then told me IF THEY ARE NOT THE RIGHT mg GET THE CHEMIST TO ALTER IT" When Southern Cross rang Dr Vann's office to confirm the reason for my appointment
