A Tauranga, ll n'y a plus beaucoup de maisons qui datent de la première arrivée des pionniers en Nouvelle-Zélande. Cet endroit a une histoire assez surprenante qui a sauvé le bâtiment. La visite est intéressante. Elle est organisée par des bénévoles de la société d'histoire et mérite un petit arrêt. J'ai personnellement eu beaucoup de plaisir à discuter avec les personnes en charge le jour de mon passage. Il faut y aller !

Absolutely loved it, as soon as you walk in you are transported immediately back in time. Tauranga is so fortunate the house and contents are still in tact and the volunteers are there to show you around and do a marvellous job keeping things ship shape. Its delightful!

Brain-Watkins House Museum & Hall Hire
Visiting Brain Watkins House is a real treat ,plus a trip down memory lane for older folk. It is made more interesting by the fact that everything that remains in the house belonged to the family right down to clothing still hanging in the wardrobes, bedding, paintings, very old flooring, wallpaper,ornaments, china and cutlery. Well worth a visit on a Sunday.
