Hotel Lake Brunner

Great place for a meeting. Lovely historic hotel. Good ambience, lovely staff and bar snacks were excellent. Dining room well appointed.

We booked the bunk rooms, the rooms themself were good they were tidy and clean. Unfortunately though the mattress’s on the bottom bunks I think had been used since before the hotel was built, the springs poke into your back and you sink down onto the slats was by far the most uncomfortable sleep iv had. The toilets/showers also had no locks on the doors allowing people to just walk in while you’re having a shower which did happen, very damp and some mould in there aswell could do with a makeover. We wanted to have dinner at the pub aswell when we ordered we were told they were abit busy to take any food orders but we could make an order in an hours time so we decided to have a drink and wait, after about an hour and a half we decided to order to then be told we can only order pizza as they were still to busy they then forgot about our pizzas so it took another hour and a half to get our 2 pizzas. I understand it was busy but can’t understand why we couldn’t make an order the first time round and just have a long wait time. Staff were very friendly though no complaints there at all. Overall I think if I was to stay here again I would spend a little more on a better room and would not eat at the pub again.

We were there for dinner last week and had a wonderful evening thanks to the delicious food and the exceptional service from our waitress - Zoe. She was bubbly, friendly, very attentive and made our experience enjoyable with good conversation. Thanks also to Nico in the bar who was also bubbly, friendly and provided us with excellent service and tasty cups of tea. Many thanks for another great evening team. We will be back!

First time staying here and it is one I find I would do again. The room was both clean and warm. We were disappointed on arrival to find we could only get fried food as they were a chef down sick. But the meal we ordered was delivered to our room and it was very tasty and great to see not greasy. The bed was comfortable and we had a great view of the lake. The room was big enough to be comfortable for two maybe three people. One thing I did find was the door to the bathroom had no doorstop which means if you opened it too quick and too far you could possibly break the glass shower door. We had a continental breakfast and are going for a meal in the restaurant as the chef has Sunday and Mondays off. We came back today to find out the room had been cleaned which was a nice surprise. The meal tonight was excellent and good value. For $65:50 we had a starter of crispy prawns , 2 4 1 steak meals and a couple of drinks.

What a gorgeous view of the lake from the hotel. We ordered pizza and both were delicious, and great greeting conversation on arrival while ordering drinks. Well worth the stop.
