Awesome experience. Group of 5 of us road round oriental parade, through to Mapuia prison, eastern and southern bays all the way round to Island Bay before heading back for 4pm along Happy Valley road. Multiple stops to picnic, cafes, etc.. Our GrabOne voucher deal made it great value for money. Riding uphill made it possible to get to explore hill, ridge line view points! Huge thanks to the friendly and very flexible team at Switch on Bikes. Always happy to please.

I hired an e-bike for the day (9am - 5pm). I was very happy with the type of bike suggested by staff - a fairly simple step through. The instructions were really clear and they went over the route I was interested in, giving me a couple of options.Would definitely hire from them again.

We hired e-bikes for the day and had a wonderful time. The staff were lovely and explained the bikes well, and gave us tips for good bike paths (which were even helpful for us locals). We used the Wellington Advent Calendar deal, but Switched On’s pricing is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Miserable day in Wellington - drizzle and a bit cool so why take some bikes out for a fun day?We hired some ebikes from Switched on Bikes - the bikes were great, the instructions were brilliant & service excellent - thanks Stephanie!We did 60kms all up - heading Mt Victoria then following the coastline right out to the Marine Sanctuary, then back to Wellington via the long coast road. We then found some more hills up to Fort Buckley and across the ridge line back into town.Wellington has great bike infrastructure.

We had a good three-hour e-bike ride round the harbour and up to Miramar Hill and back.We were lucky to have Dylan as our tour leader. Later he revealed he’s an actor and comedian.That explained his engaging and amusing presentation style, but didn’t deny his wide-ranging knowledge of the city and its history.The fly in the ointment was my partner’s bike. It was fine on the flat but struggled to get her up the hill (and she’s only 52kg…)Due to a similar previous bad experience we had asked specifically about battery power when we signed in. The guy on the desk guaranteed we’d have no problems.My Bosch e-bike was fine. My partner’s was a Shimano…

E-bike hire in WellingtonReally easy to hire. Super friendly and informative staff.Hired for 2-4 hours.Cycled around the bays and up to the Maupuia reserve for some spectacular views.Would definitely hire again.

I spent the day riding around the coastline and it was honestly one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely stunning. I rode all the way around and back, about 4 hours in total, and still had 1 or 2 bars of battery left. The electric bikes are well maintained and easy to ride which makes it a pleasure getting around. You can stop off on the way to grab some lunch. Priced very reasonably for a half day activity. Would highly recommend if it’s a clear or overcast day.

Hired bikes for a day and caught the Days Bay Eastbourne ferry from Wellington right next to Switched On.did the lighthouse ride along the Wellington Bay coastline to Baring Head. Bikes well maintained and a great day out

We.booked a guided bike tour with Switched on Bikes online, as an activity to do while in Wellington for the day as part of a cruise.Well, we just couldn't get the smiles off our faces the whole tour. We are 52 and 53.years young and it was no physical stress at all. Our amazing guides were both informative and fun and the views and scenery were just beautiful.We highly recommend Switched On Bikes for a fun day out.Sheree and ScottMelbourne.
