Very Nice Landlord, Very Kind People, Has a very well maintained kitchen, Beautiful View, Handy To All Social Life, Be Prepaired Mindlessly To Always Remember To Lock your door behind you , For your belongings is your responsibility, If Only I could go back in time and stop too secure than rushing for a cigarette for ive realised my actions were at fault but soo sad for my losss, so a fresh new start to be alert , But very socialable good people here at the lodge that also made me feel welcomed and safe.

Used to live there but just called in for a catch up. Would live there again if i ever went back to Auckland to live.

Great place to stay short, or long term. Manager is lovely. Nice tidy rooms.

The rooms are big enough for 1 person. The decor is abut outdated but still nice. The bathroom is not so good

A place to call home, There is such a awesome feeling about Plum Lodge, lots of different characters young and old, Affordable and easy accessibility into the CBD. Good management the place is run really Good and appreciate the free food that Brad graciously gave out to all the tenants. As part of living at Plum Lodge.Cheers.

I stayed here for 8 months in 2015 between selling and buying a new house. Having come from living by myself to communal living sharing kitchen and bathroom facilities with others took some adjustment. It was made easier by a caring Manager and some great, long stay, residents on the same floor. Like any new relationship there were always going to be the odd teething issues but these were handled promptly, efficiently and fairly. The place was well maintained and kept clean. It is well located with all amenities you could require close by. To start with i thought i will just have to endure this temporary situation but i ended up enjoying my time there as much as one can in this unfamiliar environment that was so different from where i had come from. It is an experience i am glad to have had.I think this bit is important. I don't usually write reviews and for the most part many only write of a particularly bad or good experience. Mine was not at either end of the scale. In this sort of environment there are always going to be issues and how you deal with them will have a huge impact on how well you fit in with others and enjoy your stay. It took a while for me to realize just what was required to maintain the environment i eventually enjoyed and i changed my view from thinking the place would be quite easy to manage to appreciating the skills required and especially people and organizational skills required. Did i mention patience? So this review is only for as long as the current Manager is there.
