Butcher's Pool

A beautiful free pool for all the family though not for unsupervised toddlers as too deep.It is a pumice based spring with hot and warm mineral waters rising through from the ground. So pick the spot with temperature that best suits you.A toilet and covered change rooms are there also.Google shows where to find it however the road off settlers road is not sign posted it looks like a farmers track untill you go over the rise on it and see the pool and car park.Rest for a family picnic you must bring all you need water food togs ect no showers available.

Great little hot pool in the middle of nowhere. Nothing fancy - just a toilet, changing room and a pool with very hot sulphuric water.Yes there is a lot of moss in it but honestly this is just nature ;-)

Great spot, completely free of charge, last time I went the pools were empty, this time they were all full. I see someone has removed the sign from the road which would make it impossible to find if you didn't know it was there.

Free Hot thermal pool, gives good heat, soak away any body aches and pains. Steps into the pool With cobblestone floor,good for your feet. Wooden seats on the inside edge of the pool, were a bit slimy.Unfortunately when wē visited undesirables" had tagged graffitt all over the toilet block. But there is a unisex toilet and a place to get changed.The oil/sunscreen mentioned in previous reviews are still evident.Unsure if the pool had been maintained over covid lockdowns and traffic light settings

only 1 other person, nicely warm (39° ish), carpark right beside pool, flush toilets, big pool like 16m long and 6m wide

Is very easy to find, around 1km south of Reporoa village on broadlands rd. Has decent sized car park. There is toilets/changing rooms. A very nice geothermal heated pool.

Beware the locals. They trash the place and claim it as thier own.Roadside sign has also been removedOld soap bars and dirty scungey pool.In our time there, a couple of locals came and sat down with a dozen glass beer bottles and proceeded to drink them then throw them in the bush.Later two Incredibly aggressive local Maori came and claimed it as thier own and told us to f off throwing abuse and threatening behaviour. They blamed us tourists for ruining thier place said it was a locals only place and we should go to the paid pools.My partner and the kids were incredibly scared, traumatised.Most ridiculous horrible situation I've seen in a long time.

Amazing free hot pool in the countryside. Just off the road & easy driveway. Good carpark & toilets, changing rooms. Rubbish bin. No camping signs but great for a stop & swim. Waters hot.

Hot and beautiful. Stars were shining in all their glory.
