The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean, I usually didn't use the hair shampoo at any hotel, but I tried the one at the hotel, and no regret, so ladies no need to hesitate to use the shampoo provided. However, the location is not so convenient, in the middle of nowhere, abt 20min by bus to the city center, we stayed here coz it was 5min walk to the car rental shop where we took our car

Was a lovely room, bit noisy at night, not sure what the knocking was.Clean and tidy, the uppercshower head wasn't connected. The under floor heating was nice.Breakfast was a bit of a worry, perculated coffee very stewed. Breakfast started at 6.30 we went down at 7 30, meats cheeses and yogurts in bowls were not chilled, but sitting on plates in the open, not covered, the bread for the toaster needed to be sliced by patrons, how many hands had touched this.We chose to eat else where after this breakfast.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Service was excellent. The location is great especially late arriving from the airport. Not to mention the wonderful stay. Would come back.

The exterior appearance may look old and tired. But do not get fooled by its heritage status. The interior of its rooms is a beautiful ensemble of the tradition and modern. You can for sure sleep like a baby in their cozy bed with light but warm duvet which wraps you soft. Try it and you will absolutely enjoy the stay.

Great rooms although not spacious. Best heated room I've stayed at in NZ. Breakfast was really too. Lovely decor.

What a treasure! The building, the rooms and the staff are delightful. I arrived late and they kindly fixed me something to eat, I then got to enjoy the beautiful refurbishment done of the rooms and bathroom. Very stylish and new ! We're lucky to have people who clearly care about this historic building and so lucky to be able to stay in it.

Stayed 2 nights. Nice rooms. Very clean and tidy. Generous size. Bar was good and staff attentive. Whole place seemed a little understaffed. Breakfast , this was the one big let down. Don’t have it. Excleent use of a beautiful old building. Will stay again.

Great place to stay. Love how they have up graded the rooms but have left the the other areas untouched.We had a reunion there and were looked after really well. Staff coped well with the demands in the bar on Friday night.Comfortable beds and warm rooms. Complimentary water is a nice touch.No Sky tv in room.A good breakfast is served daily but get there early as it goes cold quickly. Perhaps some heating under the food.
