Was very excited to watch Across the spider-verse tonight. Thought we’d go out to the extreme screen for the best visuals and sound. Was very warm and cosy when we walked in, but for some reason, the audio was extremely quiet. Couldn’t hear the characters, and was missing some of the background sounds. Whoever complained that it was too loud in the reviews before, has ruined it for the rest of us as now it’s not loud enough. Told the staff early in the film that it was very quiet. Couldn’t be fixed unfortunately. Eventually the 3 of us walked out of the cinema as it was so quiet and hard to focus on anything but the bad sound. Gave 4 Stars cause the staff were really nice and understanding. Gave us a gift voucher to see the film again with a better experience. Thank you whoever that was!

The candy bar experience is unique which I like but I don't love that prices are not obviously displayed. Also great that all seats are reclining in every cinema but the last 3 times I have gone there has been damage to the seat in some way. The screens are huge and there is lots of room between rows of seats to walk along. Overall great. Also in the complex is a restaurant and an adult mini golf experience, very cool

An impressive place for a movie theatre! Going up the escalator and through the shop that reminded me of Duty Free, was amazing. Artie's is on the other side and has a selection of drinks and yummy hot food to take in to the theatre to eat while watching your chosen movie.

Expensive but great food and dedicated wait area. Having room service" in the cinema was also amazing. Chairs like Lay-Z boy so comfy you're likely to fall asleep. May not warrant the cost as a regular but certainly worth a look if you're planning a date."

Very cool place. Got lost trying to find the movie entrance because they are having renovations, but other than that great place for family and friends to enjoy while in Christchurch

So easy to buy tickets if you have the HOYTS app. Great location in the middle of the city above a food court of all types of food.The xtreme screen has a brilliant picture. 3d watching avatar incredible, once getting used to 3d

Seats are much more comfortable here than other movie theaters I've been to in christchurch. The frozen pizzas they sell aren't worth your money. Bring your own.

Wow. The whole self service thing is cool but a big tricky as no prices noted anywhere on view in the area you are selecting so you could potentially get yourself a large Coke, get to counter and discover you cannot afford a large Coke. Prices astronomical too for food. Especially drink as I know what it actually costs to make. Big extreme screen and reclining seats awesome!!!

Great place to entertain the family. I don't think anyone could be bored here. The mini golf is really fun. The games seem to be in good condition as well. We were there when it was quiet, so it was really nice to be able to take our time.
