Hertz Car Rental Wellington Airport

Spoke to a male staff member this morning at Wellington Airport after leaving a GoPro in the car, he was completely unhelpful, called back today and spoke to Sena* a very helpful young woman who has arranged for the GoPro to be couriered to us. She was fantastic unfortunately the young man was apathetic and had not even left a note to say who the GoPro belonged to.

My experience with Hertz Wellington Airport this morning has left me feeling small and humiliated. I have called them but they have made me feel worse, hence I’m resorting to writing this review.After landing at Wellington airport, searching for the Uber pick-up point, I went up to the Hertz parking booth. Granted I still had my mask on from the flight, and the attendant seemed to get irritated because she said she couldn't hear me properly. She did point to the pick up area and shouted at me. I had to beat a hasty retreat.So I rang up Hertz Wellington Airport and explained my ill-treatment. Instead of being sympathetic, the person at Hertz started a tirade - that I was lucky to be let into that booth, that the attendant should only deal with Hertz-related business and not all and sundry unable to find their cars and giving directions. The person I called said the attendant doesn't have to help me, I understand where she’s coming from but being civil costs nothing. Of course I will never interact with Hertz ever again. Their front line people lack any common decency. If there's a recording of my call, it should be used as an example of how not to deal with the public.

We booked at height of summer season so not all options of vehicles available. Nice car. Bit pricey. Optional add ons available. GPS waste of money . Not given instructions on car. Dropped of at different venue. No staff available. Just dropped off key and GPS. So basic customer service

Awful customer service, one front desk employee laughed at my face for 10 minutes instead to Try to explained or even help me and my family

Booked a Hybrid/EV through Hertz. Got an Outlander PHEV which had no charge on the battery at all, what a waste of paying the extra for a more sustainable vehicle when Hertz don't even charge the batteries up before you use it.

Staff has given us wrong car and called us back to exchange another car after we left Wellington airport. He promised us that they will cover all petrol expenses as compensation, but they pretended nothing happened and refused to pay us back for petrol when we return the car.

Car dirty on the exterior, perfectly clean on the inside. Drop off seamlessly easy at Wellington airport. Car drove well.

I didn’t have much time to interact with them but I dropped the key and the lady politely took it.

I'm never one to write these bad reviews but I have just dealt with the worst customer support from the Hertz Car rental at Wellington airport. My partner thinks she's left her keys in one of the cars she rented and politely called and asked if they could check. The man who answered is named Harold or Howard and he was extremely rude about it, he didn't want to check and kept saying that the keys weren't there but we know he hasn't done a proper search. He even told her that it is her own fault for losing her keys and laughed and hung up on us, this has left my partner in tears and am completely disgusted with the way we have been treated.

Booked a car last minute to pick up from Wellington Airport to drop of at Auckland Airport. As our flight had be cancelled and we needed to get home ASAP. When we arrived to pick up the car they were very friendly and quick. The car we received was very new, low km and a dream to drive. The only negatives for me were not being able to drop off after hours meaning we had to wait all night to be able to drop off in the morning when they opened. Pricing is too high.
