Maori and Pioneer Cemetery
A lovely spot to spend some time. This is a Memorial to the local people who died in the Maori wars and to the pioneers of the area. With the fresh water river and the salt water estuary merging at this point it is very pretty. A stone memorial stands behind a picket fence. A walk along the river is lovely.
