Amazing bike shop with exceptional customer service. I contacted Wensleys regarding a bike box so I could pack my bike for the flight home after finishing the Tour Aotearoa route. I have to be honest, I will never go here again. My sons BMX tire kept popping. I'd changed it twice on my own but the third time it popped I decided to take it to the professionals. The guy that actually fixed it was great and really nice but the lady behind the reception counter was absolutely horrid. When I went in to pick up the bike she was very curt although I tried to be polite and coax a smile out of her. I asked her what the problem had been and why it kept popping and she said I don't know because we don't have tge time to check all of that". I paid and left. 2 hours later the tire was flat again. Because of this lady's horrid customer service and sour attitude...I won't be returning. Plus I paid for it to be fixed and it wasn't."

Went to Wesley's this morning for help putting together a bike tool kit for an upcoming event. Extremely helpful and didn't try to oversell to a biking novice who doesn't know any better. Stoked with the service, will definitely be back for any biking needs and highly recommended for anyone else's too!

stopped in with a loose timing chainon my tandem the staff member provided some improvised tools and we tightened up, no charge, I appreciated his willingness to help looks like a well appointed shop with lots of kit and accessories

We’ve purchased two bikes from here today & exceptional service from Rob & the team including free delivery of one bike on his way home (the other one had to be ordered in) We were felt welcomed and extremely comfortable in store & there was no pressure to buy anything despite them putting a bike together specifically for us to trial - The best 100/10!!

Went there wanting to like them as they are a local firm but found their service a little slow and they seem disinterested in fixing our tyres. Still waiting for puncture repairs after two days another repair shop in town can do it within 4 hours. Maybe they are just busy that is why I have not given them lower rating.

Back again after having our last bikes for many years (bought from Wensleys way back then) it was time for new bikes. Once again we got great advice and service.

During my South Island travels my wife’s Specialized Levo’s battery seemed to throw a wobbly and wouldn’t charge. I took it into Wensley’s Cycles and the young mechanic was incredibly helpful knowing that it was unlikely that I would not be a repeat customer as we are from Wellington. He spent a lot of time on the bike and contacting Specialized NZ. He also updated the bikes software and fully charged the battery. The service was exceptional and there was no charge. Well done Wensley’s Cycles.

If you’re looking for quality cycles and equipment with outstanding customer service and repairs, then Wensley’s is the only place you need to go. Never had any issues with any of the bikes we have purchased from here, serviced with a smile and any small change (baskets on kids bikes, kick stands, swapping seats, etc) often done for no charge. Always made to feel welcome with kind help and answers to all my dumb questions.

Me and a friend just finished Tour Aotearoa and went into the shop with two problems to solve. The first was boxing our bikes up for the flight back to Auckland. Rob and the team were beyond helpful: they found us a couple of very sturdy bike boxes, and also helped us out with extra packing materials, tape and markers. All done with a smile and a genuine desire to help us weary bikepackers on our way; the whole team are just such good people. The second problem was one I had with a Specialized pump I’d purchased at a bike shop in Palmerston North, and it had failed within a few days of use. Rob didn’t hesitate to get the Specialized rep on the phone and got me on the path to getting sorted out. I can’t say enough good things about Rob, his team, and his shop. 100% recommend, and wish they were my local bike shop back in Vancouver, Canada!
