Highly recommend this Malaysian restaurant if you are wanting to share some Malaysian food with a bunch of friends or family.I tried a bunch of their dishes and all of the dishes were pretty solid but the stand out dishes were the chilli crab, kungkang (water spinach) stir fry with dried shrimp and oyster omelette. The oyster omelette was honestly one of the amazing things I've ever put in my mouth. Like the omelette texture was crispy, fluffy and has abit of chewiness. Are you kidding me?Such a yummy restaurant deserves much better review than that!This is a very famous Malaysian Chinese restaurant started from Henderson, Otahuhu then now in Greenlane.The same location used to be a long history Chinese restaurant too.We had a such great time the other day having dinner with a group of friends.Recommended menus simply ask owner you won't regret to whatever they recommend.

Four of us came for the nasi ganja set lunch and we also ordered a few more dishes from the menu. The Nestum cereal dishes are highly recommended as well as the roti canai. The nasi ganja was also very tasty and we were impressed by the ayam goreng berempah and udang berempah. We got a special treat from a special menu. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I'd come back again for more.

Oysters were nice and plump but did not blend in with the omelette well. Hainanese chicken rice didn't feel authentic as it was missing the gelatinous later between the skin and the flesh. Soya sauce provided was also not the dark sticky type typically served with Hainanese chicken rice. On the plus side, service was courteous and waitresses were proactive in attending to your needs.

Lunch time at Treasures...Got here early before the lunch crowd. Have to say u was a little disappointed that they didn't have a lunch size menu.It was a little pricey for lunch but we're not done yet.I had Pork Belly in a claypot and my wife had the Chicken Laksa.The pork belly turned out much better and tasted a little like home cooked. However, the Laksa fell a little short. It was a little blend and pretty small for it's price.I'm not quite sure if I will travel to have this Malaysian food again.

Only been open a few weeks, but already a huge hit. The Ellerslie location to the originally Otahuhu based @treasurekitchenotahuhu has everything you love about Malaysian cuisine. Especially the chilli crab and banana fritters pictured. The iconic flavour has not met its match at any NZ restaurants I’ve tried so far. They even serve it with the essential mantau buns to complement and soak up the delicious sauce. The other dishes we tried and loved included the oyster omelette and petai bean and okra vegetable dish. No wonder this restaurant was packed when we went on an ordinary Wednesday night! Great to finally have an authentic restaurant like this in the local area

Oyster omelette (O-chien) taste is sooooo good and authentic!Fish head noodles is also a not to be missed!

Food was a solid 4/5, and service quite attentive and quick. Wish we had a larger table but we did book just a few hours before dinner on Friday.Haven't had pepper crab since Singapore!Oysters were a little on the small side.Over all it was good. Would recommend.

Awesome eatery to get your fix for Asian food, cooked in Malaysian and Singaporean style! U can get the chicken rice here too! All the diners left extremely satisfied.

Second visit for lunch. Wanted to try the oyster omelette for a while now. We had that and also char kuey teow. The char kuey teow was pretty good, lots of different ingredients and wok hay. I like the crunchy pork skin they add in it. The oyster omelette was just ok, it lacked flavour actually and relied heavily on the dipping sauce but that was just ok as well. The portion size also very small. Spent $62 for 2 people (me and my wife) but we were both only 55% full.First time trying here at this Malaysian style restaurant. I've had a lot of Malaysian food in the past so have a good idea on what the dishes should taste like. First of all, there was some dietary requirement of no sambal and no shrimp in our order so I am going to leave out review on certain dishes, so will only be reviewing the dishes that aren't that. The braised pork and the cereal fish was cooked fabulously. The pork was full of flavour, but the portion was just little bit too small for my liking. The cereal fish was fried nicely and the cereal flavour was perfectly seasoned, salty and a little sweet. The hainanese chicken was just ok for me as I feel it is slightly overcooked, so the meat was not as tender as it should be. The tofu dish was slightly lack of flavour to me. The yam basket was also very tasty, the pork meat was tender and the fried vermicelli is crispy and pairs well.The service is very good from the guy whom I assumed is the owner. He was very friendly and talk to many tables and refill the water. The other normal staffs service was slightly lacking, as they often overlooked us in the teapot department.Overall, quite enjoy my meal and will be back to try some dishes without the limitation and also a few other dishes.
