World Solar are excellent to work with. Great communication and they understood my requirements. All of the equipment was professionally installed and works great. They were happy to go the extra mile with any questions I had. Highly recommended.

I had solar panels install Oct 2021, after a site visit from Doone, good discussion and explanation of the site limitation/benefits. Very happy with the install and connection to the grid. You have to have and import/export meter installed to your distribution panel, and an inspected by PowerCo but all these things were handled by World Solar. Decided to increase my array to the max of the inverter (5kW) and install another 5kWh battery to the existing 10kWh bank this year (Sept 2022). Easy email to World Solar to get the ball rolling, and the install was complete with little or no stress on my part. Thanks World Solar, you made it easy for me.

Beware of this company, they have little interest in support after the installation.Has been more than one year since the monitoring ap stopped working and despite numerous emails and phone calls have been fobbed off.Initial inverter installation didn't work and had to wait more than a month for them to come back to replace with a store edge inverter. Had a battery installed which was loose on the wall, screwed mostly straight into gib board not studs. Have the video record if anyone interested. Then found battery would not activate when a power cut happened. They wanted another $1500 to make that work. Contrary to what I had been told when fitting the battery and what I had been invoiced for. Judi HollingworthWho left a positive post is listed as accounts supervisor?? The same goes for Jade Macdonald being a staff member leaving favourable review. Unfortunately it seems that I may have to consider legal action.which is never pleasant and a waste of time. It seems I have had a very similar experience as the other one star reviews.. I want to install more panels but am stuck with these people for the life of the system and little support. My advice when considering solar is to choose the company carefully and and use a company local. You are going to have a long term relationship with whoever you choose.

I have asked World Solar Invercargill to come and sort out their system , but still waiting , so i have decided to do this review to hopefully help me get my system going . First up, when I ordered the system I had brilliant service , very professional and once I placed my order the unit was installed within the week and a very tidy job.Stupid me! I was so happy I decided to pay them the full amount - They told me it will take about 30 days max to get meter put in . After about three weeks I checked with solar and they said it was typical of the power companies to take their time, however, when I checked with our power company I found World Solar had not put in my application- first hold up . Then it was me having to contact World Solar and co-ordinating the power company to try to sort an inspector and meters etc , Another 3 weeks go by and the meters get installed .I phoned solar about turning on the inverter and was told just do what it says on the front panel.The front panel only tells you how to disconnect' the system and not the correct way to turn the system on at all . also we did not get any paper work on the system , no information at all , but a scrap of paper with my password and user name but nothing about how to use it.So via the internet I found most of the information but was not given the access code to the unit itself . So I contacted world solar again to express my disappointment. They said someone will contact me to sort the inverter and give me the manuals etc..2 months later- we are still waiting..... solar panels on the roof but no power being delivered.I then left a message on their phone again(many messages have been left in the past with no response)At this stage I wish I had used another company . I give good service, and good information in my job, so I get upset when I experience poor service like this when I am paying good money.The main problem that has upset me the most is the receptionists attitude when I phone to try and get the problem resolved. I feel like she just thinks I'm a pain and makes me feel stupid. She denies the fact that we haven't received any manuals or instructions and no demonstration whatsoever. She says she will get it sorted and nothing happens.I think if we had received better support after the installation we would have been happy however it seems that because we have paid they are finished with us....and are hoping we will just go away.This is the first poor review I have ever posted and I hate doing it but feel desperate.

We have used World Solar on two occasions. Doone and the team are great to deal with. They provide good service and a good product. We believe solar should be installed on every new build - especially here in Southland. Good bang for buck! Doesn't take long to see return on investment :)

Dodgy company, had big problems with the installation. Only when I threatened legal action did they do anything. Do NOT pay full price for installation until it has been certified.Also I see an employee (jade MacDonald) has left a review on this page. Blatant conflict of interest
