A great place for both takeaways or an evening out, with excellent service and friendly staff. All your favourite Indian dishes are available, with many seafood and vegetarian options that can cater to various dietary requirements, but you can't go wrong with any of the tender and juicy meats either. And don't forget to add one of their amazing naans!

Arrived at 7.20, got entrees at 8.10 and had to get mains to go as we had to pick up our daughter at 9 and they weren’t going to arrive in time. Takeaway orders seemed to be prioritised which doesn’t make you feel looked after

Yellow Chilli Indian Restaurant
This restaurant is on the top of my list of places to go. Extremely tasty curries with a twist of freshness in every bite that takes the dishes to the next level. I’ve tried nearly every dish and whether vegetarian or with meat they are all fantastic. Service was great, food was fresh and ingredients were high quality. I wish I get a chance to visit their soon.

Beautiful food - the vegan menu and the curries we got were very impressive. Kind, attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. What a spot!

Excellent fist visit. We had a range of takeaways and it was all great. The paneer and saagalo a favourite. Naan not bad. Only slight issue was the chick pea dhal was quite salty. Service was excellent and we had popudums whilst we waited and had drinks. Will be back to try again...

Really disappointing. Long waits (had to go to counter to ask to order), food that didn’t resemble the dishes we’ve enjoyed at many other places.Adding chilli to NZ frozen veggies doesn’t make a jalfrezi and tiny bits of meat were odd to say the least. Same chilli tomato base appeared in both dishes which ought to have been wholly different.I gave this benefit of the doubt to try it a second time tonight and won’t be giving it a third attempt.Just really disappointing.

This is the best Indian food that I have had in Wellington so far. Located in Kelburn Village it has a cozy atmosphere and a friendly vibe. We had the Paneer Tikka Masala and the Corn Mushroom Masala and both were perfect! Will definitely be visiting again, well done!

The food and service is good. My major bugbear with this place is they have refused to honour the Entertainment Book voucher twice now even after I was assured by Entertainment Book that the owners have been spoken to and will accept vouchers. Once when I chalked up a bill over $200 with 9 people in our party.Either accept the voucher or have yourself removed from the Entertainment Book.

Location of the restaurant is far away from the Wellington city in calm & peaceful kelburn. We ordered vegetarian dishes for our order. Food didn’t taste like pure authentic Indian food, we felt something was missing. but, it was doable. Service was slow, but staff was respectful to guests. Interiors of restaurant were cozy.Ample free parking was available on the streets nearby restaurant.
