It was hard to choose a bakery to stop at on our way through Oamaru. There are a few great options on Google maps. I'm glad we chose Delectables. The pies we purchased were amazing and had easily the best pastry ever. The south Island has consistently good pies and this is an example of the best. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. She made some excellent coffee, keep her on. If you're a pie tourist like me, this is essential. Great work.

Never written a review before, but had to as I ate the best pie ever. The steak and onion. Will be my go to visit every time in Oamaru!

Gross. I’d be embarrassed if I was selling their food. Ham roll is yesterdays, bread is stale, tomato is slimy and the ham is grey, the pepper steak pie is flat and basically gravy with tiny pieces of shredded “meat” and after paying $15 for less than acceptable food, I won’t be going back.

Good Variety of hot, creamed, filled buns extra. I did find it was a little pricey.I went at lunch time, which was a mistake, very busy and they didn't give you time to look.
