Dr. RALPH is my favourite Dr. He explains everything. Receptionist is very accommodating.

Great, friendly care from all the staff. Very happy to recommend.

I would give Soma Medical Centre 5 STARS each and every time that I have been there for treatment. They DO NOT waste your time or enforce their beliefs on you. For those that think that they do,you are WRONG!! Their level of treatment and attention to detail is amongst the best, and to suggest or even state that they are racist, is a complete pack of lies.

Where do I start? Have been with this practise for 5 years, Dr Ralph Brock-smith and his son! Amazing! However his wife Adrianne who is on reception is probably one of the worst people I have met. Utensil charges put on top of ordinary consultation without being told but still expected to pay when given ample opportunity to do so. Massive arguement with said lady and to make it better “It’s been a long day I would like to go” when discussing how this charge was unfair. Few more tears and arguing. This lady went right up to my doctors face (who kindly waived the fee) and said “I won’t be bullied by her” lord I wish I recorded it. Completely unprofessional and also bringing up my personal notes at the front desk to say it was valid. Just such a nasty person. Fast forward to today, was told the charge is still there and that I would incur a late fee if not paid….when I was told it was waived and also charged today for a COVID consult which is suppose to be covered by the GOVT up to 6 weeks . Showed this to them and still nothing. I just… I can’t even complain because this lady in the practise manager. If you go here, please be weary of her and always query the charges!

Helen at reception is lovely. Everything else? A waste of time. I specifically went to discuss increasing the length of prescription (getting for three months at once rather than one month at a time) because I'm in a better state now, but what did they do? Reduce me to two months and again, still one month at a time. Makes me think they did so just to increase the frequency with which is I have to pay to get new prescriptions. Also, don't love the massive religion aspect and definitely suggests why they were so unhelpful - their welcome pack literally says that they know medicine isn't perfect and to ask them to pray for you about things if you want.

I have been a patient of the Soma Medical centre for 16 years. I have complete faith in the doctor and have always had great service from the staff. A warm and welcoming environment at all time.

My review is based on my partner's experience. I can't find other words but racist to describe Dr. Young's behavior. We had filed the formal complaint and had to change the clinic. I would not recommend going there.

If I could give this practice a 10/10. I would! They always put my children first! I can always get an appointment on the day as they always find a way to squeeze the tamariki in. If I feel it's necessary. I love the warm welcome from either Jeremy, Helen or Adrienne. I love the extra care that Susan Young or Ralph provide. If anyone said she is racist they are absolutely wrong. Also love seeing Jeanette the nurse. Above all this is a great practice.

Been going here for many many years, to see dr brock smith. Left here every time with a smile on my face. And a wonderful waiting room and staff.
