Carters Beach Top 10 Holiday Park

It's a nice campground, that is close to the awesome beach and a playground (less than 5 min. walking). The facilities are very clean. But it is crowded and the sites are narrow. You might have to wait for using showers and kitchen. It has a small jumping pillow.

I’ve stayed in 7 or 8 Top 10 Parks now, and this is probably the nicest one yet. Everything is new and up to date. Wifi is unlimited and strong. Kitchen and showers are awesome. The cabin room was spacious and even had a TV. Definitely recommend.

Well kept holiday park. Game room / lounge is all paid games, which is different from the other Top Ten Holiday Parks we’ve been to. It would be helpful to have no-cost toys for kids of all ages inside for cold and rainy days. Powered sites are located in odd places all over the park. It’s difficult to get two together. It’s close to the beach with shops nearby including a New World.

Situated across the street from the beach, this large holiday park has the best shower/toilet setups for campers we've seen in our six weeks in NZ. Clean, unisex private rooms with toilet and huge shower, lots of hot water and hooks. Very large, clean communal kitchen. Close to lighthouse and seal haul out at Cape Foulwind.

Very nice holiday park. Receptionist was friendly!We booked a powered site and everything went smooth. Kitchen was super clean and toilet/shower were perfect. Wifi was good.There is a seal colony close by that was cool to watch (15min drive)

Oh what a location! We absolutely loved this place..super clean and tidy and a general great vibe. Stayed 2 nights, never realizing there is so much to do in the area. We'll be back for sure.

Just had a hot tub and I definitely recommend it the view was beautiful the water is beautiful and warm worth the money for an hour

Of all the caravan parks we have stayed in throughout Australia and New Zealand’s South Island, this park is a standout.The provision of a range of amenity blocks around the park with each exceptional in being spacious with each shower having several hooks, a bench and a shower curtain, a large number of sinks and hair dryers, and several toilets was impressive.The kitchen had an array of seating areas, great barbecues and a selection of cooking appliances including a rice cooker!The laundry also has several washing machines and dryers, all spotless. Washing baskets weee provided as well as an ironing board and good quality iron.Location so close to a beach for evening and morning walks was perfect.Honestly, no fault can be found with this park. Stay there!!!

We loved our stay. Rooms very clean and very well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Campsite was very peaceful at night. Beach is right across the road.

I am touring by motorcycle and was made to feel welcome. The campsite was level, protected and well grassed. Shower block and kitchens, excellent. Since I travel light, I liked the opportunity of paying a very small fee for the kitchen pack"? to allow preparing of my own meal."
