I won a necklace includes 18k gold chain and a flower pendant from Webbs' last fine jewels auction and paid $734.55 for it, the second day after I picked up the necklace, I wore it for a few hours and it dropped and I almost lost it, it took me half an hour to find it on my bedroom floor, and I saw the chain is broken. So I talked to webbs twice over the phone, try to get return/refund or partial return/ refund just for the chain, a staff from Webbs said Webbs doesn't guarantee quality of their products and can only repair the chain for me, I told them I can’t use the chain again cos it broke right away after I wore it the first time and it can break again and lose my pendent.And the third time,I talked to the head of jewel , she said can only give me $30 store credit for the chain, good to know the 18k gold chain on my $734.55 necklace only worth $30! However they refused to deposit that $30 back to my bank account, even that is how I paid them ! Basically if I don't have anything to buy from them again, I won't able get that $30 back.Bought a few things from webbs before, can't believe that is how they treat their existing customer.And when said I will post a review let other customers to judge if this is fair, she said even I post a review they can explain underneath my review anyway.. Ok , I will let them explain underneath.

Webbs you are a disgraceful auction, I sent an email to your staff member Cameron, as I wanted to put some items into your estate sale, he didn't even have the good manners to recognise my email, sent over 3 weeks ago, I then thought I would go and see him but he was to important to even come and see me.This Cameron lives in his own world of importance.Webbs you need to get your act together, you should run a proper auction like, Cordys.Disgraceful treatment of customers

Jewellery of mine was sold without my consent at a Webbs auction, they didn’t take responsibility whatsoever despite my name being listed on the documentation provided with the jewels. Webbs took no responsibility, claiming they never check and “people bring in second hand goods all the time”. So you could be buying stolen goods from them and be liable in a court of law should the object be identified as stolen. For a place which claims they are prestigious, stolen goods really aren’t, neither are the potential legal consequences to your clients. Disappointing to say the least, and a shocking attitude from staff when questioned on their practices.

I am very happy with Webb's and the excellent and professional service I have consistently received over several years, both as a seller and a buyer, in the fine wine auctions. Marcus is very experienced in the secondary wine trade with a broad and deep knowledge of wines from pretty much everywhere and his estimates and recommendations usually work out surprisingly true. Marcus has also gone out of his way on occasions to help me get my consignments in, for which I am very grateful. Customer service plus!The secondary wine market has definitely risen significantly since I first started engaging in it and I have been very pleasantly surprised with the returns on some lots I have submitted. There is always an occasional lot that doesn't perform as well as hoped, but that's life, and those result in extra good deals on the buy side, so there is always someone happy from every sale. I have also picked up many superb and interesting aged bottles that have really expanded my wine experience.I should also say they have a quality, purpose-built temperature and humidity controlled cellar onsite to keep all bottles in perfect condition and I have consistently found payments to be prompt and accurate.I can wholeheartedly recommend Webb's Fine Wine Auctions for quality bottle-aged wines in all styles from wine growing regions all around the globe that you just can't find in the shops.Oh, and the pic is one of a stunning pair of large antique Chinese vases I saw in one of the amazing Asian arts auctions. Keep up the great work.

Recently used Webbs Auctionsto auction my father's whiskey collection.Marcus and his team did an amazing job.Comunication was excellent and nothing was a problem. All the photos and Information for each bottle was amazing. The auction went extremely well with all 500 hundred lots being sold.d Dad and I would highly recommend using Marcus and his team.

Excellent auction house.Responsive to emails and very friendly team. Went there for the first time to pickup a lot i won and was treated like a regular. Great job to the lady at reception and Nick who poured me a dram lol. They also have a selection to sell outside of the auctions!

Great auction house! Friendly staff, great to talk to. I picked up a piece I purchased online from an estate auction today, and the ease of parking, combined with the ease of transaction and friendly staff has really given me a great start to my day. It was a lovely experience, looking forward to purchasing again from you all soon.

Webbs was suggested by a friend as someone that would look after me and maybe if I had items to sell worth thousands the service would have been better.I had 3 items for the Fine Arts department and I had no idea of their value and thought Webbs would know. I would have been better with Trademe. Webbs didn't seem to have a clear idea of value either as they put the same estimate on all 3 items and said they had no reference to go by. As they don't allow you to put a reserve on these items I trusted their expertise.One item was royal memorabilia so it was important to get it auctioned when interest was high upon the Queen's death. I discussed this with the girl and as an Auction was just started I was to bring it in early the next week so it would go in the next Auction. I dropped the items off and she was to send some paperwork. After a week and a half and I received no paperwork I emailed only to be told sorry they had missed being photographed and would have to go in sometime in the future. I wonder how long they would have sat there if I hadn't emailed.As they didn't allow even a small reserve and my trust in their abilities was severely dented I decided to pick up the items. I didn't want these items selling for a dollar.The excuse was they were a staff member down, but we had some concerns over the casual manner they received the goods when we dropped them off. Interestingly when I picked them up from reception nobody even confirmed who I was. This confirmed my concerns over their lack of professionalism.Very disappointed. If you have lesser value items this is not the place to take them They aren't interested.

Our mother sold her house and had a lot of potential antiques and unopened airplane model sets from decades ago, as well as a series of very old books. Probably $1000s of dollars worth. She signed a contract, Webb’s said they would come and assess and take away valuable items. Then crickets. We called and no one knew about this contract we signed and then they ghosted us and never would respond. In the end, we just threw everything away because it was too stressful. Such a shame as now there are potentially valuable and lost items in the dump. How can people be so cruel and so indifferent? Such a terrible business and I hope this review will shed a light on this pious and disrespectful company. Shame on you Webbs!
