Better By Bike
So good. A must do if in Queenstown or Arrowtown. The bikes are amazing and I was super impressed by how effective the electric assistance is. I ran mine on 'Turbo' for most of the trip - it made the hills so easy and hardly made a dent in the battery level. The trails are spectacular and well maintained with amazing views and scenery. My son got a bit of mud sprayed up his back but they were fitting mud guards to all the bikes that day so this shouldn't be an issue in the future (mine already had one so no mud on me).

Excellent service and guiding. Although we got lost a couple of times, it was a magnificent experience on well maintained bikes. The four of us traipsed Lake Hayes with ease. Although we had one ‘he man’ taking a standard bike, the rest of us took the e-bikes (Moustache brand) for a pleasant day out.It’s worth the $

Best price compared to competitor for ebikes. Excellent modern ebikes that are well maintained. Excellent friendly owners who gave us excellent suggestions for an epic day. We stopped at Gibbson Tavern for superb lunch. Scenery stunning. Only downside is sore buttocks. Would've loved option of wide spring seat and higher handlebars on the guys bikes. Highly recommend. Fantastic memories ❤️

My husband and I had the absolute best time biking from Arrowtown to the vineyards on our e-bikes. Every kilometer is more breathtaking than the last and the e helps you go further and faster than you could with a traditional bike. This extra boost is especially helpful when you are trying to see and do everything on a short holiday! We cannot recommend Better By Bike enough. Every single employee is so sweet and helpful and their bikes are so well kept. You will not be disappointed!

I would rate our experience a 10, but the scale only goes up to 5. It was that good. The folks at Better By Bike (especially Charlotte) were wonderful. Just as amazing, is the bike trail itself, out to Wine Country. We scheduled personalized tasting at both Brennan and Mt Rosa. (Be sure to book these in advance.) For our three month adventure in NZ, this day was one of the highlights.

EPIC ride even in the dead of winter- and the name really makes sense: seeing that valley IS better by bike. The e-bikes worked great, the scenery was unbelievable and the wineries were a great reward. The staff are lovely and they picked us up at the wineries so we didn’t have to ride back ;) 1000% recommend

Super fast rentals for us newbies to ebikes. They also have other bike rentals. Staff was amazingly helpful including giving us directions and map to Middle Earth (from Lord of the Ring's) filming location just prior to the wonderful wineries in the area.The views are spectacular. Probably the best way to tour this area as the trails are kept in excellent condition for biking.

Great bikes and great directions on some beautiful trails. We biked up to Gibbston Valley winery and got picked up, toons us about an hour but we weren't dawdling.

We had two weeks in the South Island. The day we hired eBikes in Arrowtown was by far one of our most favourite! I was a first time eBike rider and managed more than 50km on 3 different trails, coming back with half the battery left. They are great bikes, very easy to handle and quite comfortable. The staff are fabulous and made the day even better. They explained the different trails, made sure we were happy with the bikes then sent us on our way. I would definitely do it again! We saw places we have never seen by road! A+++++
