Must do for locals and visitors. Great way to see a working port in operation. Popular with people popping up to have lunch or dinner.

Walked up to avoid the steep streets in our campervan. A steep 20-30 minute walk up, worth it for the views!

I loved this lookout, it was easy to get to and you can drive right to the top. The views are fabulous

Nice evening view from the hill over looking Napier Port and out to sea. Easy drive up from the central CBD to the top of the hill.Clean toilets, and a reasonable sized picnic area. We were able to check out the live livestock ship which was in port at the time we visited. Kids loved it.

There's a great view of Napier Port from here which can be great fun for kids to watch the comings and goings of the Port. Besides that, there isn't much. There's a toilet, a picnic table, a small garden, stairs, and a few other hiding places that can add to the fun kids would have for a few extra minutes before they want to go.

Didn't have the views I was looking for (over Napier). Tricky uphill Road to get there too. OK for views of the docks and Ahuriri.
