Excellent trip to the hobbiton. Our guide Damien was amazing he has a lot of knowledge and made the bus long trip very interesting.

Lovely tour today to Hobbiton and Waitomo Cave with Tony as our driver. He was very friendly and informative on the drive. And very clear in all his directions so that we could have a great day trip. Totally recommend this day trip and Tony as your driver!

I would like to thank the company and Mrs. Rachel for the fabulous trip to the set of lord of the rings and caverns of fireflies. Don't do it!!! It was expensive and a heck of a lot of time on a bus ( whose air conditioning didn't work the whole HOT 2 1/2 hour ride home). Our driver was great, but he let it slip that this wasn't the first time the air had gone out. It's too bad too. The trip was long, but Hobbiton was neat to see and the glow worms were interesting, but the bus that picked us up from our hotel was a sleek luxury tour bus, but the bus we were assigned to was nothing great, no restrooms, and then NO air. People were getting sick in the back. It was horrible. If you end up booking through Viator like we did make sure that they don't put you on a Great Sights tour. YUCK

I strongly recommend the tour Hobbiton + Waitomo Caves by Great Sights. The tour is simply amazing, Hobbiton is magic and Waitomo caves are so magnificent that moved me to tears. I recommend everyone to put them in their bucket list. The organization was perfect and the driver/guide Rachel exceeded my expectations. Very professional and educated, Rachel gave us wonderful and interesting insights about New Zealand history and everyday life. Now I’m in love with the “silver fern” country ^__^

I did 2 tours with Great Sights – Milford Sound from Queenstown & Hobbiton from Rotorua. Both the tours went smoothly. They sent a taxi for pick-up which was great. Their bus drivers are very friendly & all the tours run on time. The buses had charging point which was a welcome addition. Guides are very well equipped with knowledge about the place.

A very convenient way to see Hobbiton & The Waitomo Glowworm caves without having to worry about driving yourself. Our tour guide, Rachel, was a great host and driver. They were accommodating, funny, and helpful. Everything ran smoothly and right on time.

Had a wonderful tour to Hobbiton and the glow worm caves today.Our bus driver was Tony and he made the 2.5 hour bus ride a funny, relaxing and learning experience. Explaining to us our schedule for the day, some local knowledge and history of each town we went to.Will use this service again next time we come visit New Zealand.
