Not responsive at all. Went to the office and they took down my details for a place i want to rent out. Never got a call even after 1 week.

Wonderful helpful staff. They take care of our properties to a high standard. Leaving us to live the best life.

We’ve been renting with this company for 3 years and couldn’t be more impressed. Anything that needs to be done only takes a phone call and is always done promptly. Sam and Nicola are lovely and always happy to answer any questions we have. Will definitely rent our next property through A1 but we’re not planning on moving any time soon.

I highly recommend A1 Property Managers. Nicola and Sam are great! They are very warm and friendly. They are very professional. I am renting from them but if I owned a home to be rented out, they would be the only people I would consider to manage my property. They're amazing!

Incredibly unprofessional property managers. They arrived at our home for an inspection, with the landlords in tow - big red flag. No dealings should be done with the landlord if they have hired a property manager. A1 employees then began to harass us, accusing the head tenant of ‘lying’ (not specifying about what), and the landlord insisted he never made any of the promises he made, although we have text proof. An employee named Michelle, who can’t actually be found on the A1 website, then called us weeks later to threaten eviction, with no basis to do so. Evictions need to be applied for through the Ministry of Justice, not at Michelle’s discretion. It was unbelievably unprofessional and needlessly aggressive and violent. Cannot in good faith recommend this company. Appalling.

These property managers are incredibly sneaky. They will trick you into signing a lease that is not in your favour and then will do everything in their power to make things difficult for you with very little to no help. They are purposefully obstructive when trying to find solutions.I would say that A1 is the worst property management company in NZ I have been flatting for 9 years and this company is the only time I have ever had issues. Also the property manager I dealt with is very condescending and rude not to mention quite hard to get hold of and unhelpful when you do get hold of her.Highly recommend against renting off this company16 January 2021... I feel it important I set the record straight for any poor soul that gets caught with A1. I believe I dealt with a girl who couldn’t have cared less about us. After finding multiple replacement flat mates, and offering them to A1 as replacement flat mates, they refused to allow them to be put on the lease and therefore prevented us from refilling the rooms. A1 attempted to get us to pay for damage pre existing in the flat. This was denied in the tenancy hearing. Interesting that the response only details one side of the story, outlining just how manipulative the property managers are. Furthermore, I did ring to pay the remaining $100 that A1 appears to have charged us, and after no communication from them about this sum, I paid it. Once again, highly recommend against signing on with this company and I hope to high heaven that owners respect their Tenants and go with another company.I see that this company is still trying to rob the small man. Don’t rent off them.

What a horrible horrible company.After 10+ years of renting with no issues what so ever and squeaky clean references!! I had to end my lease due to the way I was being treated by this company.Be very very carful they are very sneaky! They say they're coming for a inspection but nobody even shows up!!They tried to say my cat damaged curtains weren't damaged, when I called the owners they had no idea and came over and were shocked and said they must be replaced.Hopfully you don't run out of water or have a power cut/plumbing issue over the weekend.You'll get a response maybe on Wednesday saying sorry they don't work weekends office hours are Monday-Friday 9am till 5pm.So you call the office and your told they've just stepped out of the office and you don't hear back for days and have to chase up yet again!I would have loved to stay but they were just shocking. I had to threat tenancy tribunal as they were trying to do viewings when I would be sleeping as I'm a shift worker, I was told sorry we have a viewing for then and its going ahead. Once I mention they are in a 'breach' they ask what days or times suit me which should have been done at the start.They even had the cheek to ask me where the washing machine, rake and hand mower were as if I'd taken them with me ... once moved in I had emailed and asked them to be collected as washing machine was broken and hand mower was rusted. The owners arranged collection within my first couple days ... They had no recollection or this!!I personally highly recommend any other property manager other than this one!Watch out for Chelle, super lazy, no contact. Doesn't want to help you at all - just wants to make a extra dollar.I had messaged for nearly a month after moving out asking where i can complain/provide feedback, gues what ? Not a single reply!!

Wish this could be zero stars. This company and Venture Management are hands down the worst rental companies I have ever dealt with. After years of disrespect and near abuse, I rung my previous property manager and went back to her.Tenancy ended and moved out two months ago. Still no communication from A1. Haven't even got an end of tenancy property report. Zero, zilch.They are condescending, nasty and downright rude while they continued to breach multiple things including the Healthy Homes Act, Tenancy Act and Human Rights.They transferred my tenancy from Venture to A1 and never provided a contract variation.Either turned up randomly and let themselves in without notice, or never turned up at all. They also did drive-bys of the property and made comment as to the maintenance of the lawns.Brand new House was falling apart after 3 years, with the double glazing failing and condensation appearing between the panes of glass, water damage on windowsills and holes in the building where an alarm system was never installed.Healthy homes inspectors fell out the hatch in the roof, and I got pinged for the damage.Lost several $$ rental payments, served me notice and then tried to blame me for paying it incorrectly.Increased rent beyond that of an identical property, at the neighboring property.I have put my bond into dispute and filed a tenancy tribunal application and I still haven't even got an acknowledgement from A1, considering my emails are sent with full tracking I know when, who, and how many times they are opened and read.I have tried to connect with the owner to voice my concerns but I have been stonewalled there too, so I am left no choice but to express my wariness and complete distrust in this business and how they operate.

I really appreciate the staff, they're so honest and genuinely help when and where they can. Property managers are lovely and absolutely look after the houses as best they can as well as care for their tenants. When problems arise they've handled them quickly and effectively while keeping all parties informed for us it was a leaking hot water cylinder that was costing us alot of money (power wise) and the owners (water waste wise). Sorted within a few days highly recommend.
