Lost Pet Finders NZ

Our cat had been missing for about 6 hours which was really out of character for him as he is a real homebody so I put an alert on Lost Pet Finders and got some very helpful information about looking further afield and looking everywhere around bushes and garages. We found him several houses down the road trapped in a neighbours garage. Great service thank you :)

A great service, really helped us feel that we did all we could during a difficult time of trying to find our missing cat. There was some good information on their website and friendly people in their facebook group that gave us some good advice and helped us keep positive. Luckily our wee boy was found in a neighbour's garage after 4 days, not hurt but a little scared and rather hungry. Thanks for having a great service to help those that are worried about their lost pets, or want to help people find their lost pets.

I appreciate the service and that it is free to share the losses. People like me who are crazy for their animals, look for all ways of trying to get them back and this was one tool which I am very grateful for. My pumpkin turned up by herself at night, I believe she was locked up somewhere and couldn't get out. But if it was a different scenario we need places like to advertise far and wide just do anything to get our baby's back. I hope this doesn't happen again but if it does, I will definitely use this site again, and I thank you. Pumpkin is back home and very happy

Amazing daily support with suggestions of what to do when looking for our lost cat. I really didn't believe our cat would travel over 14kms over 6 nights to turn up at our old house after moving 4 mths ago. But desperate to try anything to find him I emailed the new owners as a last ditched effort, after being prompted by lost pets. I sent photos. This morning I received a text saying, I think your cat just turned up at our place. We had to find him by calling him when we got there, and he was quite scared but recognized my voice. He was hiding in our old tunnel house. He's eaten 2 bowls of cat food since being home.I was truly at the point of thinking we'd ever find him. Thank you so much for your support. Heidi

We were very heart broken that we never got any responses saying our parrot was found. 8 1/2 months after our parrot flew away, we got an urgent message asking if our parrot had been found. It flew into a house 1 km from where it flew away. We had since then moved twice due to work. We believe that someone found him and then he flew away from them. We only got reunited because of the person that found him sent us a message on Pet Radar. He has taken almost a week to settle down again and has now slowed his eating rate down. At first all he would do is eat all day long. Now he leaves eating to come sit on our hands again. He is now starting to talk again and calling our dog and us. Thank you to the people that took the effort to search for us on Pet Radar.

So much information received on how to best search for a lost pet. Mine came home after I used all the methods suggested.
