VTNZ Dunedin - Teviot St

Arrived at 4:15pm advised they were closing They had decided they were going home early as it was a nice day. Advertised closing time was 5pm. No doubt mgmt will give some guff about caring for their staff while their customers can take a hike. Despite being privatised it still seems to run like the Government dept it once was. Serving ourselves" not the customers is their motto - Stay away"

I went to book for my restricted test and asked which days are available for me to come for the test the lady rudely said you have to pay first. as a student and working at the same i don’t have much time on my hand so I tried explaining but she still said you have to pay . I didn’t have any options and paid then she said we have to availability right now one is 3:30pm and another is 11am. I said I can’t make this times she said that’s what we have right now . I chose the 3:30pm which is after school and as I finished school I rushed to vtnz due to traffic I was 8min late as soon as I went there they said no your late you have to rebook again.

My battery went flat while on the cue and the team were super helpful and jovial, at reception the team were swamped with many people but kept a smile on all day and were vigilant in helping everyone they could. Great experience at VTNZ

My brother had his full driving test. He failed due to driving to slow on a busy street. The instructor Martin W is a complete knob end and talks to fast, also talks about random things while the driver is trying to concentrate. My brother is an excellent driver and should have passed, but Martin thinks otherwise also indicated for too long……. Really. Get some better employees VTNZ, you may as well wrap peoples cars up in bubble wrap before they drive.

Where does VTNZ find their employees?They seem to have single digit I.q’sMy son , who is an excellent driver , failed his full license ,due to apparently ,driving too slow down Strathallan street.The numpty instructor Martin W.who clearly has no idea how busy this street is , with heavy vehicles constantly appearing from entranceways, failed him for being overly cautious, driving a little slower.You clearly cannot and would be a complete idiot to try and do the rated speed limit on this street.Also Martin W has a problem speaking New Zealand English and this distracted my son as he could not understand him!I would like a meeting with the manager to discuss this matter furtherThese clowns are clearly failing young people for the sake of revenue collection

I had practical test And he failed me 4 time, 4th time I didn't make mistakes when I was finished test he said Your are failed because you make Two critical errors is equal to an immediate failure error.1 was You must ensure that you check your mirrors and do a head check prior to turning, when you are crossing a cycle lane.2. you shouldn't giveway if car coming from driveways, I told him I watch VTNz video if car coming suddenly we can give way, she said No go home watvh video again. I went home watch video again, I was right but I felt it's okay but when i show my results I was frustrated because drivers didn't write that mistake, he write You must not remain stationary when you have ample opportunity to proceed safely. My question is if I did 2 mistake how come 3rd one and why he not writing that mistake whichever's he told me failed reason

Discustingly rude old woman behind the counter. Shrugs her shoulders at you because drivers licensing closed three minutes ago. I had been waiting ten minutes.Go to the AA centre on Moray Place. Very helpful there

Had been waiting a while, went up and asked and was told there was a car already in plus 2 more before me, I'd been waiting for about waiting an hour and 20 minutes (not too bad), cars went before me, people who'd been waiting less time went before, made a complaint only to get a call saying I'd been waiting 111 minutes" to be exact

Awful customer service, failed my WOF and took my car to another mechanic who found no issues at all. Went back to have it rechecked and they refused because they ‘had no time.’ Would never recommend anyone goes here, worst service I have ever received.
