Union Square Bistro & Bar
The menu said burrata with “candied pistachios” and something about a red wine digestif. I was disappointed the dish didn’t actually feature those. We also were there at 3:30. They have one menu that stops at 2 and one that you can order from until 5 pm when I presume there is a dinner menu. Our choices were limited but the quality was a bummer. It’s hard to underdeliver a big ball of usually delicious cheese.

Beautiful place with very friendly staff.Unfortunately the food quality and quantity were not a match for the price. Four of us dined for lunch and each had a different meal. Paid the 15% public holiday surcharge. Recommend tweaking the food esp on a PH when paying that much more.Nonetheless would return for the friendliness and great choice of drinks.

Delicious food. The staff were bit slow in bringing drinks/extra cutlery. I guess the staff was new, friendly, just need more training maybe?Great food, very well presented, fresh, yummy, good price for a bougie place.

Union Square Bistro & Bar
I ordered the venison burger with chips. Venison free ranging from New Zealand and was very well seasoned. Toppings were cheese, lettuce and tomato with a really nice pickled onion and avocado spread with mayonnaise. I haven't always loved venison but this was superb.

Staff very friendly and polite however slow delivering drinks. Dinner was delicious but portions were very inconsistent. Chefs special braised beef short rib was over priced and meat portion consisted out of 1 measly rib. Disappointing but still enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly reception and welcoming of young diners.

I have eaten here previously in the restaurant which was good but I chose a bar snack for a change. I was slightly disappointed in the burger and fries. The cheese was cool and coagulated and the pattie was crumbly. I enjoyed the atmosphere and cured my hunger but not a memorable experience.

Union Square Bistro & Bar
One of the only places open in Martinborough last night, we got a takeout order. The restaurant was accommodating and made the mushroom risotto vegan which was really nice of them. It was very good! So amazing that they were able to do that.
