Terrible, son got chicken burger, it was so hard he couldn't even bite through the patty, mine and partner's burgers were soggy and chips were not seasoned.When I rung up to ask if we could get a replacement burger for my son they suddenly couldn't understand English..Will not be going back

Sonny's is a great place to pick up a nice cheap feed of fish and chips. It is nicely priced and you will end up full for not alot of cost.

Best value for money on Oto. Family packs available up to $40. No eftpos though so take cash. Place is also still in full covid separation. That means you can wait on the street or in nearby vehicle.

Stopped for a quick dinner on the way to Ruapehu. Fairly standard menu for a takeaway. Bear in mind they only take cash. Food was nice. I had thepotato fritters and fish. The fritters were nice and crispy. The fish was cooked well.

The best fish and chips I’ve had. Consistently good. Beautiful white flaky fish in a crispy batter and real chips that are never soggy, always crisp. Do not let the understated interior fool you. These guys know their stuff.
