Such awesome place! True to it's purpose.Bev and Sariba were awesome hosts. The caravan style room was very beautiful and comfortable. Food was delicious (best Thai style Fish I ever had, cooked by Sariba.)Bev is a very friendly, knowledgeable and kind lady. Chatting with her was very comforting and helped me.Sariba offered very non judgemental view and knowledge about different parts of the world, great to meet her.all in all The place offers relaxing, beautiful and peaceful environment.

Te Wahi Ora is the perfect place to receive rest, wisdom and love. The conversations are wonderful around the dining table, the rooms perfect for solitude, the beach and sea a heartbeat away for a walking meditation or reflection on life. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared, with the famous 'billy' breakfast to take away with you each night and open at leisure. The Writing Weekends provide a safe and loving space to unfold the stories inside all of us waiting to be heard. For me, returning to Te Wahi Ora, is like a homecoming; a coming home to myself where I can be fully present and fully alive. In fact, the name Te Wahi Ora, translates from Maori, as 'a place to belong to while moving towards wholeness.'A name that lives up to its promise. x

Sorry for the late review. I just now noticed I'd forgotten to do this when I returned to normal life back on Dec 25th 2018.I was lucky enough to stay a couple nights at this retreat due to the generosity of my Mum and the Te Wahi Ora sponsorship application. Bev and the other ladies who work at Te Wahi Ora were so welcoming and supportive. The other women who were staying at the retreat at the time were super lovely and I was surprised to find how much I enjoyed everyone's company and conversation. For me, Bev was the biggest surprise. She is so knowledgeable about so many different topics, open to non-judgmental. I especially liked hearing from her during our lunch and dinner conversations.I'd say I'm younger than most women who choose to stay at Te Wahi Ora, but that suited me just fine. If you're after a retreat which includes spas, 24/7 room service and getting dressed up for fancy dinners and loud parties - this is not the place for you. Te Wahi Ora provide meals (and try their best to cater to different dietary preferences) to share with others or in your room if you prefer some alone time, your own clean and tidy room to relax in, beautiful gardens & outdoor relaxation areas and just a whole lot of time to chill out in peace and quiet. I've included the 4 pictures I took during my stay. Three are of the Sunflower room, situated at the very back of the property, and one is standing at the back door next to the kitchen enjoying the rain coming down on the garden.I'd highly recommend Te Wahi Ora to anyone needing some time and space to retreat, relax and reboot from what ever your busy life looks like for you. Its a safe place, and a welcoming place. I hope to visit again one day.

I had an amazing Easter weekend! Bev and Sussan (and I'm sure everyone else in the team) will make sure that you feel comfortable, respected, nurtured and validated in every way possible. The food was so nourishing and incredibly tasty, it was like a hug to the soul.I trully believe that every woman should have the opportunity to experience Te Wahi Ora at least once.Hoping to get back again soon.

Te Wahi Ora is one of my favourite places in the world (and I've been to quite a few cool places). I have visited annually for the past few years and each time I never want to leave. I'm writing this now tucked up in the gorgeous caravan accomodation in the garden listening to the sound of the surf in the distance after a delicious home cooked meal. Bev is the ultimate host; kind, welcoming and great company. There is time to rest and rejuvenate, walk on the wild, windswept beach, have a beautiful massage and enjoy the incredible food that is cooked and served with love. I can't recommend Te Wahi Ora enough.

What an incredibly calm and peaceful place! The whole team at Te Wahi Ora were very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. This retreat is a wonderful reminder that to live our most fulfilled lives we only need to look inside ourselves. Incredible scenery, delicious al fresco meals and long walks on the beach will help you achieve just that.

Perfect little sanctuary in a piece of paradise! Thank you Bev, for creating this beautiful space to share with us, thank you Raewyn for taking such special care of all our needs, you're like a second Mum. So grateful and appreciative of having the opportunity to stay here to rejuvenate, rebalance and to be pampered with kindness, love and the best home cooked meals that are so fresh, so healthy and so delicious, can't wait for the Cookbook to replicate these fantastic meals. Will remember my stay here till the end of my days. Love and blessings to you all.

Private. Bit pricey for what it is though.Nice that the accomodation is across the road from the beach.A dining table would be a valuable asset!Food was ok, small portions. I’m not vege but meals were-advertised meal and snacks to be provided, no snacks that I was aware of, had to stock up from the store.
