Pit Stop Taupo

Big thanks to Peter, Alex and Susan for the work carried out on our vehicle! We appreciate you guys staying later than usual to get the job done. The muffler delete sounds and looks good!

I called in to Pit Stop as my car had been making a different sound when I turned the wheel hard. I had asked my normal mechanic to check it months earlier and was told it was normal. When I walked in, the mechanic came out, hopped in the car, listened and agreed it wasn't right. He was so helpful and I booked the car in for a service the next day. They found someone else had put the wrong oil in the diff and now it runs perfectly. They were really helpful, got the job done right and i'll certainly be back with our other cars. Great service.

We travel from Wellington to Auckland and our car engine cover plate was unscrewed and we went to Pit Stop Taupo to fix it and Marcus helped us and way he fixed it was really amazing. Definitely will go back if passing through. Thanks Marcus.

Had a flat the only place near me that was open on a Saturday!!!!! Was this place I rang up as it shut at 1300 and asked if they could fix my tyre and drove from Waiouru was a bit late but they fixed my tyre. Fantastic people that worked there really good and quick. Fantastic thank you so much.

On Tuesday 7th Feb 2023, I came into Taupo for a dentist appointment before heading to Auckland. As I got out of my car, I discovered that the right rear tyre had gone down. I obviously had got a puncture. Not knowing the best thing to do, I called in at Pitstop, Taupo & asked for help. Peter, the owner, greeted me outside & although, they were busy & had some challenges of their own this morning, he reassured me not to worry & that he would help immediately & sort the problem. He then asked one of his workers, Bruce, to drive me to the Dentist & gave me their number to ring once I had finished, telling me not to worry, they would come & pick me up! I could not believe their genuine willingness to help when I was not booked in or their kindness. It was quite overwhelming & I can't thank them enough. When I returned, they had fixed the puncture, & sent me on my way to Auckland. Thumbs up to Pitstop, Taupo. Their excellent service & helpfulness was greatly appreciated! Pitstop Taupo was helpful pleasant and went over and beyond to deliver the result that myself and Son were after for getting his car back to a WOF standard. Thanks Peter for all the advice and care you took of our vehicle. Their attention to detail and quality of work is nothing short of 5 stars. Thanks once again to peter Susan & Team for excellent & very prompt help and support sorting out a troublesome noise in my sons Suzuki Swift. They went out of their way to sort the problem as they have in the past. Cannot recommend this Pit Stop team more highly for friendly, efficient and affordable service.

Booked in for 0830 first in for warrant. Went in an hour later at 0930 and spoke to a couple asking them when they booked, they said 0930 the guy said their car is before mine I said hang on I was at 0830 … ticked off told him to call when it was done, I called at 1130 frustrated it was taking so long and asked what was happening with my car he said oh that’s right it’s ready to go. Get there then told it had failed….Car has a little smoke when idling, looks like a bit of oil underneath and no cover over the seatbelt bolts…My little old 1961 car….absolutely never will I go back there.
