Ezi Car Rental - Christchurch Airport

I had a car for a week, everything was good from start to finish and I recommend ezi.I used a different rental company in the North Island and it was a mistake. Ezi cars rental desks are in the airports which make a big difference compared to off site rental companies who charge for out of hours pickup and drop off. Ezi has longer hours so you don't have to use a shuttle to get to the off airport depots.So my advice is always to choose your rental company on the basis of how long the deskis open and where it is located.

Very good experience renting here. Easy pickup. No hassle. Car is very new and spotless when picked up. Dropoff is as easy and hassle-proof. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with Ezi Car Rental in NZ - hired a Mitsubishi ASX and drove it for a week around the North of the South Island - Christchurch > Hokitika > Karamea > Nelson > back to Christchurch. Great transition with the pickup and the dropoff at Christchurch Airport. Will do it again!

At first we had booked a hybrid however I was expecting a hybrid Corolla but was given a Hyundai Iconic which is the worst car Ive ever driven. It ended up having a hand brake fault, the team was very helpful in swapping the car out for another, I refused another Iconic and took a standard petrol Corolla which I loved. Only feedback I can give is to not have Hyundai Iconics in the fleet, they are horrible

Needed a car because my flight got canceled. Didn’t have a booking but no issues at all. Renting a car here was super easy and fast. Within 10 min of approaching the desk I was driving off. Service was friendly. Car was super clean and drove really well. Highly recommend and will use again

This was my first time using Ezi Car Rental. I found the whole booking process online quick, clear and easy to use. The 0800 staff were great in helping me with a gold card query. Staff at pickup and drop off were very helpful and friendly. The car was exactly what we needed for our short stay in Christchurch. My sister and I enjoyed driving it. I will be looking for an Ezi Car Rental option next time I need to rent a vehicle. Many Thanks

Disappointed with the hire experience.I was a counter customer hiring from Christchurch to Queenstown. I chose Ezi as I wanted to support a local Kiwi operator compared to the majors.After hiring I discovered that I could have saved 10% on my $1600 booking if counter staff had simply mentioned that I sign up for the online newsletter at the time of booking. Management declined to apply this retrospectively.The total cost of the booking was mentioned but not that their one way drop fee to Queenstown was $600! That was triple the price of Avis, Thrifty, and Sixt of around $200. Management declined to reduce this. It feels extortionist.The car itself has been pleasant to drive and hassle free. But don’t expect any local advantage or goodwill when hiring from Ezi.

Very friendly staff, easy process picking up and to drop the car. The car was very clean and neat when we got in. Overall it was really ezi!

Upon arrival, the administrative process was fast and instructions were clear. The return of car at Christchurch airport was equally convenient with clear signages and ease. The logistical arrangement was well thought for travelers. There was many car options for selection, they don’t sort change models like my rental company. The car was clean and in great condition too.

Excellent place to rent your car from if travelling around New Zealand. It is one of the cheapest options I found while researching for car rentals. The car they provided me was very new as well. Low mileage and very clean. Hassle free pick up of the car. Highly recommended to buy the excess waiver cover which I did. As the roads in New Zealand some have very steep slopes hence will result in the bottom of the car being scratch. However with the excess waiver cover I do not need to worry about all these.
