My wife is from Kaikohe so we always stop at Len's pies. They're pies are great, but they have desserts as well in addition to other things such as New Zealand, hot dogs.

Okay, for a small town with few options for takeaway food besides Countdown and New World. Food is fresh (doughnuts etc) and hot (chips etc).

The best pies out! I tried the steak and it was delicious. Just like mum made. The gravy you would swear was made in her kitchen. I want to buy online so I have an endless supply from home.Keep up the delicious work guys.

Smoke fish pie completely awful..maketu pies one is far, far superior.Custard square was great other than the raw pastry base.Lamington was good.Hit & miss..Average but for the fish pie.

Great place. Sponges are always beautiful. Pies are a bit hit and miss but better then anything else in town. Pork and gravy rolls with chippies is yummy and always the ladies behind the counter are lovely. Best bakery in Kaikohe.

Worst pies I have had in nz. Pastry was extremely thick, raw and tough. The mince was cold and the sausage roll is repeating on me. We ordered two coffees they didn't have a trim milk option and they were both cold and sugar not stirred. Claiming world famous pies is a big call.
