Friendly staff they have a lot better range of vegan and vegetarian food options than other new worlds near by. They have some good deals going on in island bay. Good range of beer selection and they always have some good deals on beer and wine. They have good car parking as well.

New World is very close to my house and the best place to go shopping to. It has food for years, has food for anything you’re looking to get. They have a good service, very easy shopping with the staff and clearly marked aisles. They have kind chatty staff and the staff can easily help you find what you’re looking for. They never run out of stock, so if what you’re looking for isn’t there, ask staff to get it.New World is definitely one of the greatest shopping markets in NZ.

Very rude staff, not friendly at all - every interaction seems like an inconvenience. Store also has a poor selection of products. Countdown Newtown is much better!

Very rude stuff at the self check out counter with aggressive attitude towards customer,and questioning of wrong typing product code.Will never shop there again,such a rude store.

One of the most ripped off shop in town,charge one muffin for 2.99 dollars and where you can find 4.26 dollars for a pack of 6 muffin in the shelf, one of the lady staff over the self check out acts very aggressive and can't explain things clearly and always grumpy at customers

Neat! Very convenient if you live in Owhiro Bay, Island Bay or Houghton Bay and would rather not drive into town. A little store but always well stocked, and has products no other supermarkets offer; specifically from Holland Bakehouse and Mrs Rogers. Vegetables section tiny but quality above average.

This store is selling products that state we can return it’s packaging to the store, the store won’t accept any packaging as they have stopping accepting it.If you’re selling such products and it’s your responsibility to accept the packaging and recycle it. If you don’t then stop stocking those products.The finger of blame is pointing at you, new world owners to put pressure on manufacturers to use compostable packaging.
