Bikes & Beyond Queenstown

I did not rent a bike here so I can’t review the bicycle rental. What I review is the wonderful and helpful experience with their staff. I had an issue with my gears and their colleague was so kind helping me out. I did not ask for his name, but I remember he was from Argentina.Thank you

We hired ebikes to ride on the Queenstown trails, and the guy was very helpful and patient showing us how to ride them, and recommending which route to take. We cycled from Frankton through Millbrook to Arrowtown where we had lunch (the best pies at the bakery) then back to Queenstown the other way.

We hired 3 bikes from them to go for a ride around Queenstown lake.The fares were ok, and the ride was amazing and mostly flat.We had an incident with one of the bikes (the pedal went off), luckily that one was an election bike and we were able to return.

Service was excellent. I'm on the shorter side, they found an ebike suitable for my height. Gave me great instructions on how they work, encouraged me to have a practice before hitting the road. Provided all the equipment I needed including helmet, gloves, repair kit & lock. Spent the day riding around the tracks between Queenstown & Kelvin Heights, had a belter of a day, absolutely loved it.

Friendly staff and decent prices, but the bikes we rented had some mechanical issues. They didn't really offer to make it right either. Oh well, I'm sure most others will have a better experience than me.EDITED TO REPLY TO RESPONSE: During our rental, when we noticed the issue we called the phone number stickied to the bike twice AND left voicemails, but did not receive a call back. Also, when we got back to the store, we asked if you would be willing to give us a discount on a future ride, since we were going to be there for a week, but your staff refused.

Such a nice place to hire an electric bike, outside of town, near the airport and Queenstown trail. They also provide car park extension which is very convenient. Took an e-bike several times and loved it !

Fantastic bike rental shop : lovely staff gave us lots of advice on the tours and trails, even some off grid" trails to explore. We could go all the way to Arrowtown and back on mechanical bikes rented for the day.Bikes were in great condition

I went to B&B to look for an electric bike on the recommendation of a local friend. When I arrived, Stan, the manager (who is also the guy who started the place!) was friendly, knowledgeable and obviously passionate about all the electric bikes they offered. He heard what my situation and requirements were and told me he had just the bike I needed. And true enough, voila! I fell in love with the Smartmotion X-city 24. He let me ride it around the block, and after that I decided to buy the bike. Great after sales and after sales service, very responsive on FB Messenger, and very knowledgeable. Stan also recommended the appropriate child bike seats I would need to fit the bike! I've since bought another one for my husband, and Stan helped to order and fix the bike seats for me too! Can't speak highly of them enough! Oh and when I went to collect the bikes today, the son of the owner of B&B was there and I was very impressed with how mature, helpful and knowledgeable he was as well. He helped me fit everything into the car and made sure I drove off a happy customer. Thanks Bikes and Barbers QT!
