Ponsonby Montessori Kindergarten

We looked at lots of Kindy’s in the area and PMK is by far the best. The way that Canaan, Alexia and the other wonderful staff structure the day so the kids can find their own skills and interests in learning and play is amazing. They’re definitely not just being “looked after” they’re very much taken an interest in, and helped to grow as kids. Our daughter started at 2 and has really blossomed in the 2 years she’s been there and we can’t wait to send our second child when the time is right. We couldn’t recommend this centre highly enough!

I have sent both my kids to PMK. The staff ratio is really good (well over the required minimum) they are all fully qualified teachers (again exceeding minimum requirements) and they're just really interested in helping all the kids thrive. Like, the WHOLE team are truly wonderful teachers and caregivers who give so much skill and energy and aroha to the kids. Every day. They're superstars.Once we settled on PMK for my first child, we had such a good experience (and he went on to do so well at school) we wanted to send our second there too, and we're very fortunate that we could.
