Took the time to check the Pauanui ferry accepted dogs, but had incorrect info on whether the beaches there allowed dogs, in that they hadn't on either side of the peninsula for over a month. Trying to avoid cynicism in that they just wanted us to spend money in the community whilst we were stuck there.

Helpful advice regarding local boat trips and walks. There were also some appealing gifts available in the shop.
