I would highly recommend Zak to look after your horse hoof needs. He takes the time to understand the history and talks you through the issues he is addressing. Zak is patient and understanding and above all, knowledgeable and reliable. We are fortunate to have him in the Kaipara area.

Zak is a superb horseman and trimmer, he's calm and patient with all types of horses and is able to get the best out of your horse with his manner. He is also great at explaining everything he's doing while trimming, and works with the horse's best interests foremost. He's also great at keeping in touch and is reliable!

My horse has never worn shoes so I was looking for a farrier that was interested in bare foot trimming. I was recommended Zak by an Equine Vet. He was punctual, calm and gentle with my horse and did a great job. He also gave me some easy tips about hoof care to use in between farrier visits. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Zak is the most amazing trimmer. He has been trimming our 20 horses who are all different. Some are nervous rescues who he is calm and takes his time with. He also trims our stallion who is a completion horse to our our laminitis ponys. He has advice for us to keep our horses hooves healthy and strong. And he trims every horse differently to support their needs. He is the best of the best

I’m sharing this review because I have a pony that has had laminitis , after several not very good farriers , I found Zac , my pony was not looking good. After some very hard work , my pony is now 95% better. She will never be 100% But Zac spends time and uses his vast knowledge to work wonders. My pony is also terrified as she was badly mistreated. Zac is kind and quiet with her. He is now even able to trim her in the wind. Amazing. I’d recommend Zac for any horse or pony. A+++++++

My experience with Zak was awesome. Always a bit weary of trying new farriers but needed someone urgent found Zak from NGO Horse Transport website. Am soo glad i did. He is an easy going guy and a great farrier.2 things i really liked about him are1. He has a great way with horses. He is very calm patient talks to them as he goes and never got flustered even when 2 horses tested him alot and2 He chatted while he worked. He took the time to explain what and why he trims the way he does. Zak is a very skilled professional hoof trimmer. He is a kind, calm and knowledgable horseman who is great with the horses and a lovely human being. I don’t let many people near my precious horse’s feet but I can highly recommend Zak.

I highly recommend Zak as a barefoot trimmer. He takes time with each horse and trims to suite their individual needs. He is patient, kind and calm and he promptly gained our horses trust. Our horses all seem to love him and we are very happy that he is our farrier.
