Such a good spot to spend the day swimming and sunbathing.Great shop across the road that has everything you need.

Good, clean and reasonably quiet family friendly spot for a day trip or summer holiday on the outskirts of Taupo.

Amazing lake side beach. Great amenities. Lovely township of kinloch.Great fir young families.

Lovely drive out from Taupo...nice coffee 'to go'.from the shop on the corner..we intended to parkova in the motorhome park at the Marina...but it was too 'up close' for our personal liking..so moved on..deffinately worth a visit..if you are boat lovers...great bike rides and walks..

Got a toy library on lake front. Grand kids loved it

Kinloch is a lovely place to visit, the lake has small pebbles, so definitely wear shoes when you go down to the lake. On the beach the locals have put together a small shed with donated toys, books etc for any kids visiting to play with, as long as they're returned after. I thought this was really neat.2- They a have a park, public toilets, BBQ, rubbish bins nearby, again making this a great experience for visitors.3- There is also a shop/Cafe near by across the road, so you can get food or extra supplies if need be. But it is busy.4- I suggest you go early, if you're planning to spend the day out in Kinloch, by 11-12noon, the place is completely packed. So go early, get a good spot, and set yourself up for the day.

We had a weekend 4x4 trip off the desert road. This was the perfect spot to base ourselves for the weekend. Will visit again for sure
