Studied my Postgraduate in Business there. Seriously, teaching Business and failing to provide adequate customer support and basic pastoral care? Is this what a Category 1 is about?Just a couple of examples:1. The programme consisted of 20 modules, to be taught in a year. They put 5 of them (!) in one month. And chose most difficult five, at that. When the whole batch came to BA office to complain, they literally said that it was students' problem and they were not going to change the timetable.2. A lecturer in one of the most difficult subjects with highest student failure rate can barely speak English, the ppt slides contain lots of mistakes which makes it even more difficult to study. I had to study for that paper online with Youtube videos as ppt slides from the lecturer were of no use. Yes, I passed the paper with A-grade, but due to my efforts only. I could have studied that paper online, instead of paying AIS for nothing.P.S.: Some of the AIS lecturers are awesome indeed, with profound knowledge of their subjects and great personalities. I would name John Tan, Ray Ninow, Paul O'Brien, John Kommunuri and Gamini Jayasuriya among them. Thank you for your wonderful work and precious time, it was pleasure to learn from you!P.P.S.: I did graduate with excellence, thank you for that. However, I wish AIS suported their students and worked at its weaknesses trying to fix problems instead of just shutting their eyes and running away from students.

AIS has a friendly, nurturing environment that balances and supports there demanding academic programmes. AIS students experience personalized education in small classes – there experienced and approachable teaching faculty value personal contact a lot with students.

If you need status, it's ok to spend 1 year or more. Some instructors are proud for no reason, oops! you are in nz. Want real hard study? Think alternative.

The Auckland Institute of Studies provides an excellent learning hub for professionals (domestic / international) who want to enhance their skills on various disciplines. I had firsthand experience of AIS' education quality when I enrolled on their Graduate Diploma and Information Technology (GDIT) specializing in Software Development. Even with over 7 years experience in building websites for clients, I am surprised with the wealth of information I got from this institute. Hands down, it offers the best bang for your buck.

AIS is a good institute to learn from. I studied MBA here and found that the content of the course is up-to-date. The professors teaching here are the best and well known faculties inside and outside New Zealand and are having a considerable amount of industry experience. Dr John Tan, Dr Danny Quik, Dr Sandra Smith, Dr Nitin Seth, Ray Ninow, Sawson Al-Shama, Paul O'Brien, Bill Ross are some of the best faculties teaching here at AIS. They teach at peer institutions like AUT and University of Auckland. So, it's a value for money option to study here. Moreover, the support staff (BA Office) is very helpful to students in every situation. The Learning Hub is well equipped to help students with study materials and provides a nice and cosy space to focus on studies. Leigh, Neda and Tamendi are very much supportive to students throughout the academic journey. Also, dorm facility is clean and tidy place to reside offered at a reasonable cost with a helping Dorm Manager (Phai). Dormitory accomodation is cheapest amongst available options in Auckland city (which includes cost of utilities). So you don’t pay extra for utility bills. Westfield mall at St Luke’s and other shops like stationery and chemist are nearby. The train station is at a stone’s distance from dormitory. Overall, dormitory accomodation is the best and convenient option to stay during your studies.I reckon you will get a good study experience at a reasonable cost.

The worst institute in nz, don't ever waste your money nor time. Very biased & discriminatory faculty. The worst experience on earth. Even if this was the last educational institute forget studies and just live your life
