A Pocket Full of Spices Rolleston
This review actually saddens me to write.. I really love the delicious food that we receive any time we purchase from a pocket full of spice - however, tonight as I was enjoying my curry, I felt something hard and sharp in my mouth. I pulled the item out and it was a plastic zip tie. I was shocked. Luckily, it had been dished into my bowl, and not my toddlers.. it could have been an absolute disaster.I called the restaurant and explained what had happened. They offered to replace my meal (kind of them, and the least I would have expected, however no refund offered) and were very apologetic.I feel compelled to write this review as a warning to others, as I’m not sure how a plastic zip tie ended up inside a curry pot!

Chicken biryani taste like they put some tomato sauce into it. The taste is very synthetic that came out of a can of sauce. I'd rather go to Little India and Coriander's next time when in Rolly.

Butter Chicken was Devine but so dissappointed with the rice. Tasted like the rice you get in frozen meals - grainy and undercooked. I went home and cooked my own to have with it. Such a shame because the butter chicken was really good. Sadly won’t be recommending this restaurant.

These guys do really excellent food! Their Korma and Samosas in particular are really tasty.I've only ordered pickup, but the restaurant itself is nice also. It's a minimal design with a sprinkle of Indian art. Nice and roomy - it would be suitable for a group. I would definitely dine in given the chance!

Ordered a Lamb Hyderabadi Biryani which is advertised as'A classic aromatic rice dish flavoured with saffron and garnished with cashews and raisins. Served with raita'The dish I received was not garnished with cashews and raisins and there was no raita. The meat was cooked well but the dish was dry and mainly rice. The advertised extras would have made a difference. Very disappointed.

The best Indian restaurant in Christchurch and Rolleston. Great value for money tasty yummy food as always. Lots of authentic Indian food options. It’s not cheap but best value for money food.

Well, what can I say but the food was absolutely delicious. The dishes had generous of meat and paneer in the vegegerian meal and they were yum! The staff were awesome too and engaged of good hearted banter. Highly recommend. My rating is a 6.5 out of 7. Cheers
