Takaro Trails Cycle Tour Hawke's Bay

Really enjoyed our 40km ebike cycle tour doing the Ahuriri Loop.The staff were very friendly and informative and help was offered for every circumstance. The ride was awesome and we saw places that a visitor would normally miss out on. The wineries were great, also with very friend and helpful staff. We enjoyed Mission Estate and Church Road Estate very much. We also had a very nice meal at Duke of Gloucester Hotel on our way to the wineries.

Excellent service and stellar communications from Karen and Rog.Seamless experience collecting our bikes, and the return transfer was great too.Comfortable bikes and easy to follow maps along a pretty coastal trail.We'll be recommending to anyone visiting Napier.

We had a great day out on the ebikes around the bay to clifton. The tracks are up and running after CG, and it provided a good way to see how things are. Bikes run very well, super comfy seats and very friendly operator. Day out on an ebike from 9am-6pm = $85.

6 of us did the Cape Winery Tour & choose Takaro Trails to cordinate our trip. The service from first contact to completition of our cycle ride was amazing. The Ebikes were great to ride & the ability to be picked up & returned to Black Barn was most appreciated.Karen & Rog were so friendly & accommodating, sharing their local knowledge.We didnt have to worry about anthing & had the best day.We cannot recommend them enough.Thanks so much Takaro Tours

What a fantastic weekend we have had. We arrived knowing no one in our tour group, and finished as friends.Roger and Karen were awesome hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and were flexible to the groups needs. For example, Tony picked up everyones wine purchases from a vineyard. Tony also made sure we got to the last vineyard in time for the wine tasting before they closed.The accommodation at The Crown was excellent.And the wine tour. So many vineyards, so little time. We are simply going to have to come back again.

Roger and Karen are so very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic day on e-bikes (and gel seats!) exploring and enjoying Hawkes Bay’s coastline and Haumawana, Clifton and region. Loved the ease and ability to ride almost 40kms and enjoy to the end without feeling exhausted! Thanks so much guys!

My husband and I rented E bikes for 2 days and had a wonderful experience with Tākaro Trails Cycle Tours, Hawke's Bay. First we rented bikes for an afternoon ride and Rylie recommended an easy 20 km route along the coastline which was perfect for us! The second day we rented E-bikes and did the Cape Coast Winery Ride: 16 km with several choices of wineries, and we had another great day! The E-bikes are excellent, top of the range bicycles, with panniers for your wine purchases! Tony, our driver/guide was wonderful! He transported us on a mini bus and picked us up at the end of our tour. Tony is pleasant, knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic about the regions’s history. We really appreciated the information he shared with us on the bus ride to and from our drop off points. We cannot say enough great things about Tākaro Trails Cycle Tours, except thank you for making our cycling days around Hawke’s Bay so memorable!

Takaro Trails Cycle Tour is an incredible experience. Napier is such a beautiful place, with the many wineries in the vicinity and being so flat it is easy to get around. Biking really lets you take in a full appreciation of Napier's coastline. The team at Takaro made the whole process easy from where to get on, the trail to take and recommended paths. A few recommendations if you were doing the wine trail:-upgrading to the e-bike option, made the ride very easy.-book in lunches/tastings at the 3 wineries (as they get very full) AND leave yourself some realistic times to to them as most of the biking is done getting to the wineries (they are all 10mins away from eachother).-definitely opt for the shuttle pick up at the end so you can really unwind. Rob was great!Thanks team, would definitely recommend and have already bought as an experience for others. Very underrated!
