Float My Boat
Very easy to deal with. Fast and quick service. Collected a kayak from Float My Boat and used my own roof rack. Paddled the Puhoi River.Key pointsHigh Tide was at 09:40am. After high tide, the water flows out to the ocean. So if you start your paddle from Puhoi just after high tide the water will make it much easier to paddle with the current towards Wenderholm. I’d recommend allowing 2 hours for that one way trip.Alternatively, start the paddle an hour or 2 prior to high tide and paddle from Wenderholm to Puhoi, explore the historical village, have a meal and once the tide has turned you could paddle out again. It’s an awesome village to explore. There are sections of the river that cannot be paddled on when the it’s low tide. It’s is possible to paddle up the river when the current is flowing out but it is much more difficult. You do not want to be paddle far up the river more than 4 hours either side of high tide as the water level gets very low and you will risk getting stuck in the mud.
