We had a set menu and it was so tasty! The spiciest samabal was SPICY spicy (Sriracha is 3/10 spicy for reference). Really great atmosphere and friendly staff :-) would definitely recommend

Althought it's pretty hard to replicate the Indonesian flavors in another country, I must say that taste wise, the food was averall good. However, here's my review about my experience.1. Sate Ayam (2 skewers): chicken was good, peanut sauce too. Perhaps for 7$ one more skewers would be appropriate.2. Sambal Matah: way overpriced. I mean, seriously? 10$ for that amount? That is worth maximum 5$3. Nasi Ayam Bakar: Bakar means grilled and my chicken has not even seen the grill. I believe it was boiled as the meat and bones were falling apart, very unpleasant to eat and the chicken had a funny taste.I had the pleasure to visit Bali twice and I believe I have an understanding of what Balinese food tastes like. I'll be happy to try your food again in the future hoping that my suggestion will be taken into account.

Food was delicious but smaller serves than we were expecting. More drink options would have been nice, but they did also offer BYO with $10 corkage/service fee.

You could never deprive an Indo girl from her Indonesian food! Where do I go when I crave for a little slice of Indonesia? Bali nights! where do I go when I want to take my non Indonesian friends to try Indonesian food?? Bali nights! They always have the best service, the best smile and the best food! They showcase the best of Indonesian dishes, culture and generosity. (PS: I am not paid to say this! I mean it with all my heart!)My go to dishes are: Ikan sambal matah (fried fish smothered with fresh cut shallot, chilis and drizzled with lime juice), Iga bakar (grilled short beef ribs so soft they literally melt in your mouth) I am OBSESSED with their Iga bakar! And the last one is their rendang! Did you know that in 2011 rendang was crowned the best food in CNN's world's 50 best food?? I think both their beef rendang and their Vegan (Jack fruit) rendang are just to die for! they taste similar to how my mum would make rendang! so when I miss my mum's rendang, I would go to Bali nights!

Best Indonesian food in NZ so far - their sister, it's java is as good. Don't know how some people say it's not authentic, for me, all the food reminds me of all the comfort food back home. The service was also faultless

Bali Nights took me back to Bali in the best ways! Food is delish, the rendang was particularly good. The atmosphere was nice, and although a bit loud it is expected for a BYO so close to ponsonby central. Staff were helpful and niceKeep it up guys, we’ll be back!

Delicious food. We had Nasi goreng tektek and Nasi IGA Bakar, both the dishes were flavourful and the meat was cooked to perfection

We were a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. Everyone was really satisfied and pleased with their meals. They have a huge serving and food was delectable. The vibe was very “Bali-inspired”. What made me really impressed other than the good food was their service as it was customer-centred. We ordered desserts however they forgot to mention that their Indonesian pancakes were sold out so to make up for the time that we waited, our lovely server was very apologetic and instead offered to give us two huge scoops of vanilla ice cream compliments of the house. That I believe is a perfect definition of quality costumer service:)
