Room stunk of stale smoke. Towels not fresh. Not a nice place to stay. Well room 10 wasn't anyway

Good old fashioned truckers pub. Probably one of the few 2 stories pubs still operating with the new earthquake requirements. Really clean and well kept.

TTAG touring motorcycle club have their monthly club meetings there.They have reasonably priced meals and accommodation. Thouraly recommend.

This pub, not, is the center of poor attitude. Obviously hates dogs, stranger's and has a very limited vocabulary. I know we are south of CHCH but I am certain the publican takes a banjo to bed. The best craft beer on offer was a DB Export and the wine is served in a sherry glass. Top class establishments like this are hard to find. Perhaps something terrible happened to him as a child and no amount of beer can right his wrongs. Heaven forbid I ask for a plate of fries. Sorry about the rant but I need to worn you all so you don't make my mistake!
