Seaview Holiday Park

Super position, 50 metres to the sea, the noise of the waves is stunning and also soothing, well laid out pitches oldish toilet and communal blocks but very serviceable. Quiet site after dark, viewed some sunsets just amazing. Friendly managers well worth a visit thank you Seaview

stunning location, on a narrow strip of land between the mountains and the sea. facilities are old world but well maintained and the site is clearly very cared for with new paint and murals and plants. shower (women's) is run on a token giving you six minutes of pure bliss. excellent water pressure and cute dolphins on the shower curtain. incredible stretch of coast line to the north of the site - waterfalls rolling into the sea, caves, beautiful stones on the beach. and did i mention that shower? sublime.nice cooking facilities with outside seating too.

Lovely wee camp right beside the sea, great for swimming or strolling along the beach when tides out. Good fishing.

Pros first:No street noises, only waves. next to one of the most interesting and beatiful beaches imho. Tent/camper-sites are generously spaced, and well protectet by trees and bushes.Toilets and bathrooms are mediocreCons:Kitchen got nothing besides stoves, a Toaster, a boiler and poorly chilling fridges. No pans, no pots, no dishes. Bring your own kitchen stuff. Internet costs 5$ for 24 hours, which is a ridiculous pricing, since the connection is the poorest ive experienced in all of the campsites, which in comparison had free wifi. Showers cost, washing machines cost.Overall pricing was pretty high considering the low service.

Great spot clean and tidy beautiful beach. Waterfall onto the beach walk north about 1km. Dog friendly.

Really special spot! Right on the beach and the sunsets are incredible. We camped down the far end and felt very lucky to be able to be on the beach in about 30 steps! Facilities are pretty basic, but were clean and tidy. We were bargaining on the kitchen being a bit better stocked (there was no pots/pans/utensils) like other campsites we have been to, so ended up having to head to the nearby Awakino pub for dinner (which was a really good meal!). Not really the campsites fault, but would be a huge bonus to have a few more items to use in the kitchen. Liked the cute book exchange :)) Will be back!

Campsite with a few places for campervans or tents close to the sea but over priced. No kitchen and paid WiFi. The shower coin is not the promised 6min but more 3-4. Everything is very outdated and worn down.

From the time we checked in to set up the camp owner was there telling us off our music was to loud the 4 nights we were there he was coming back daily telling us off for the smallest thing. He has spys through out the whole camp that report back to him then bam he's there telling you off. Kids are not aloud to be kids. The camp owner will stand there watching them when all they are doing is sitting on the only thing they have there for kids to play on. Showers run by coins and are less then 6 minutes first night we went to get coins and they didn't even have enough for our family told us to come back on the morning.Wifi is not free and doesn't even work half the time once been paid for. definitely not recommend if u have older kids who like to run free and be kids.My family will definitely not be going back

Beautiful views but that's all I can say!If you have children that want to be children this place isn't ideal.. we just stayed there for four nights and will never go back again!Our kids felt like they were stalked watched by one of the men that helps look after the place every move theydid he was there it made our girls feel a bit uneasy as he was always staring at them and then he would come and growl us about them.Kids will be kids and play uphills on the sand dunes and be a little loud (yes understand that the protecting there camp ground) but they were respectful and not been rude or anything and we made them be quiet by 10:30pm.But there were other kids and adult doing so and it was only our site that would get in trouble.It's disappointing I've never had such trouble at a camp ground before. And we always stay with our kids camping at camp grounds and most owners campers are so lovely and you can run around and do what families do on Christmas break.People need to lighten up.Have a bit of fun respect the place yes and the people but if kids can't be kids what the hell is this world coming to.
