Kaikawaka Reserve
Missing off every guide, don’t miss it off yours.A short loop (about 20-30 minutes) through native bush. This track is a trap line and only marked with tape on trees, but hard to get lost (tell someone where you’re going anyway). Steep and slippery in places so good shoes or boots are a must. Bush track looks almost untouched which is a very pleasant surprise for such a short walk. Lots of bird song, Piwakawaka, tui and Kereru present when I visited.
