This is one of the hidden Wellington gems. Small clean deep pool with a fresh water right from the stream. Surrounded by native bush with tui and kaka this cozy place with a great eagle-eyed guards. Thank you!

Well it might be 5 stars always but I'm only rating the Dogs & Togs day where heaps of dogs (not the owners) run around the pool and jump in after sticks and balls in half hour sessions. Enormous fun and only done just before the pool closes for the season. No chlorine either. Fan-bloody-tastic.

The pool is unheated so it may be pretty cold. Pool has a diving platform and it gets up to 2.5M deep. It has a toddler pool as well.

Lovely pool. Temperature felt just right after a scorching day outside. Lots of families enjoying the water. Popular platform for bombing or dives. Cafe next door is awesome for icecreams, cool drinks, good food and great coffee. Open into the evening some days. Great way to spend a few hours

Gets cold in the shade but lovely for the kids on a nice summers day. Cheap, affordable and fun. Need better floatie toys/ boards tho, current ones last their best.

Nice spot and so nice for a swim after doing Kaukau. Only thing is there is no hot water in the showers, and heaps of spiders!

I love Khandallah Pool ❤️, it's the best place to go on a hot day if you're in the area. The entry fee is ridiculously cheap, or nothing if you're swimming with a child. There is sun into the late afternoon, and usually at least one shady spot. Note that the pool is unheated, which is bliss, and deep at one end. The sides are not vertical so getting out requires a bit more skill unless you're using the ladders.
