73 Hire - Rolleston

Was quoted $120 for a mower hire, when i turned up to pick it up it turned out it was $210 - the $120 was the next line on their pricelist and I had been misquoted. I bit the bullet and paid the extra, but so wish I had walked away. Their cheap chinese zero turn mower stopped working. The deck came off the cheap chain as it went over a mound on a low cut and the blades stopped turning. I took it back and told him it was broken and got shouted at! I said I had paid $210 and hadn't even got a day out of it (was 2 day hire), he told me they would be billing me for the machine. What a bully, he wouldn't have shouted at a man I'm sure! I took the photos into the office lady, she asked me to email them to her, which I did, and I have heard nothing since. No refund either. Had previously used their cub cadet mower with no problem, but you know what they say - you get what you pay for. A hire company should not be buying cheap chinese tatt!

Absolutely fantastic service by the Hire & Landscape. Definitely recommend as they are accommodating & friendly.Trailer & Compactor hire was well priced & fair.AP20 was good for its price too.Thanks for letting me use the hose to hold down the crusher dust. Terrible and Costly ExperienceI emailed to book a large trailer to move a car and some parts about a week before I needed it. I hadn’t had a response for 2 days so I called and was told they hadn’t seen my email so I booked it in over the phone and gave them all my details including email and phone number. I arrived to pick it up and was told that trailer isn’t going anywhere as it has no wof. When asked why I wasn’t informed they said they didn’t even know it was booked to go out. After talking to the manager I was told the same. Wasn’t even offered a similar trailer. So I had to use my small trailer to get the parts and pay $840 plus gst for a tow truck to pick up the car as it had to be moved that day. Keep clear of 73 hire and use Academy Hire Rolleston or Hirepool!

Dealing with 73 Hire was totally awesome, friendly & helpful, I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking to hire anything....fantastic, thank you for making it easy for me.

Very disappointed with the quoting estimate, price ended up being alot more than quoted, the Toro Orga was picked up at 4pm on Saturday, to be used a at sparrows on Monday morning. This was discussed with the staff member and assurance was given that he would see us right and the hour colck would be checked. The Orga was returned at 10.30am on Monday morning and was charged for 1 full day and 1/2, after querying it twice, 'seeing us right' was not going to happen. Paid the bill and the business wont be using them again. Strong recommend written quotes as they are very likely not going to keep to there word.
