I honestly have no idea why this place is always so busy. Not the worst food available, but really blasé. There's a place in the North, Ocean Seafood, where the food is infinitely better and it's also cheaper. I'm not comparing after just one trial. I bought food at Yum Yum 4 times already, always trying different stuff; and like a dozen times at Ocean, also trying different stuff. I had only neutral or bad experiences at Yum Yum so far and only good or great experiences at Ocean. So, today was my last time at Yum Yum.

This store is SO CLEAN, the fryers are kept in impeccable condition and the staff are very upbeat and efficient. This has been the BEST Chinese food I've ever had in New Zealand since being overseas, and that includes the hoards of Chinese food I've consumed in Auckland, high-end, or takeaway.The food is fresh every single time, and I LOVE going here for oysters, too.All the stars for this shop!Definitely try their steak onion rolls and sweet and sour pork.

Really delicious, not too salty, not greasy, vegetables were really fresh and the chicken and prawns were amazing. Wontons were crispy and tasty as! We also had prawn fried rice, chicken egg foo young, and chicken chow mein. Thank you, we will be back

I used to work here when i was in high school, its my absolute favourite place to go, the owners are really kind and make the food fresh every day. The place is really clean, and they clean the whole kitchen top to bottom at the end of every shift. The vegetables are chopped fresh daily, batter is always new, and they take pride in their work. They also treat staff really well. Their Chinese Food is amazing and their fried foods are fresh. 100% recommend.

They gave us the wrong stuff. Ordered sweet and sour chicken. Got lemon chicken.Fish very oily and not cooked well.Five dollars chips what a laugh more like two dollars.Got a bottle of coke and it was flat. $70 later will not be back and will not tell anyone to go there.We only went because our regular was closed
