Just wow. This food was impeccable. Completely unexpected and delicious- we struggled to eat it all but couldn’t fault anything with the food. Would dine here again if I was a local!

Delicious food - this place deserves its high ratings. Don’t worry that it’s not in the centre of town, it’s busy and lively. Make sure to make a booking on busy nights… like every Friday. The service was very good. My risotto was nice - my wife’s eye fillet one of the nicest either of us have tasted for years. The accompanying vegetables also were delicious.

Loved the ability to grab a quiet table while the bar was humming. Tapas menu offered enough selection and was really tasty. Great selection of drinks, service was perfect and good value for money. We'll be back.

5 stars all around. Duck Wontons were to die for! Everything we ate was delicious! Staff were professional! Place was clean and inviting, romantic on the restaurant side but cozy and cheerful on the bar side. A must do in Taupō! Not enough places like this one in NZ!

A nice surprise at evening. Perfect two entrée on every level. Duck wonton is flavourful with perfect skin and filling. The sauce is making the whole dish become a masterpiece to start the night. The garlic bread is one of the best I ever had in New Zealand so far. With adequate seasoning and soft cheese in the middle prepare us for the main course. The main are both above average. The lamb shank is very well done with it's texture and vege mush. The steak is a bit of a disappointment. I ordered median rare but got blue. Over all very good experience will definitely come back again. Especially with very good service they are offering. 9 out of 10. Highly recommended. Thanks again for the awesome services.

It was an extremely busy night but the service did not falter. Great range of food and drinks (to be expected from a full bar on offer). Food came out within a reasonable time. The pork belly main was cooked to perfection, and the meat just dissolved! The salad that accompanied the pork belly I thought was too overpowering with vinegar, otherwise great!

Good service.Nice scotch fillet & burger was good.Burger could have been wider rather than taller, knife & fork were required for this tower of meat. That being said it was cooked to perfection and the onion jam was a delight.

To begin with a group of 6 of us arrived and had pre booked. We were seated promptly. We then waited 10 minutes to have our drink orders taken and a further 10 for them to arrive. None of us drink alcohol so all got some form of fizzy (L&P, lemonade, lemon lime bitters) which all tasted really off, nothing like I've ever had before. The Garlic breads have to be the biggest joke I've ever come across, $8.50 for a pathetic tiny piece of bread is just beyond me. The mains were good but at $28-$32 for a burger I believe is really steap and the other mains are a good $5-$10 over priced. I got the pork belly and at $40 I was a little shocked at how little I got. All in all the place is really nice, same with the staff but I'll never return here, quite disappointing after reading the reviews and our group all agrees

Fantastic place! We were so tired after completing the Tongariro alpine crossing that wanted to have a nice reward. And the place didn’t let us down. The kids meal was served first with the complementary ice cream. The burger and lamb were delicious. Great selection of beer.

Unfortunately we waited an hour for our tapas and main. Also the wine that i ordered was corked, then ordered an extra two and they were corked as well, manager was not happy with us! But am not paying $15 for a glass if it is corked. He told us to stop being difficult. (Really) if you a wine connoisseur thats not being difficult . When we finally got our tapas an hour later, the food was actually great.
