I took in a handbag with a missing lanyard. Not only did the team turn the job around in three days just before Christmas they managed to match the colour of the leather and the stitching without even being asked!These guys are seriously amazing. And they have a good sense of humour

I went there recently to have my boots re heeled . They did a marvellous job and I am very happy with the results. It took 3 weeks for them to complete my order because they are very busy. The shop is large and airy and has a feel of yesteryear. Friendly staff located conveniently on symonds Street.

Had my favourite pair of GYW service boots resoled at Gemmell's recently, and they did a fantastic job. It took a while though, as they didn't have the soles I wanted in stock, but it was well worth the wait.It's good to know there's at least one shoe repair shop in NZ that can [properly] resole goodyear welted shoes/boots, stitching and all.

Absolutely fantastic customer service from all the staff. Bought a couple of spare wheels for our suitcase and the Manager was super helpful. Bonus, we got to meet their gorgeous dog.

Your job amazed me!! I dropped off a pair of old shoes with broken soles, I thought they would not be replaceable, my shoes surface had scratches and some grinding crack. You returned them as if they were brand new. Job well done!!!

Recently took a suitcase (soft shell) into Gemmells to have a hole repaired. Being in a difficult part of the bag, I didn't have high expectations - just as long as the hole was plugged. Gemmells did a superb job!! It was impossible to see where they had plugged the hole. Can thoroughly recommend them.
